This is a period-correct (1982) C64 which had the orange-brown function keys. The VIC-20 had a white case.

I still have mine, complete with the FMV module. Yes, it's a pity that Commodore went down before the CD32 had a chance to gain any market share or be produced in any significant quantity.

Nice! I just "modded" it: I extracted the text on the lid so that you can print it in another color. File is here: www.printables.com/model/183813... Feel free to include it in your archive.

Nice! I just preordered a Multisystem2 Arcade, even though my Multisystem (1) is still working perfectly. I just like to have all options on hand. Can't wait for the Multisystem 2 Pocket to become available. 🥰

I think the A600 was just a test platform for Commodore for manufacturing boards with mostly SMD parts.

I had a version of SysInfo that stated "Call me!". I think it was when I installed the 060 card in my A4000.

The ones with all 25-pin SUB-D connectors regularly had all pins wired up. As the manufacturer couldn't know if you'd use them with serial or parallel connections or something else.

I think it's a clever move that Commodore unveiled it at gamescom, where there might just be the right audience for it. Maybe the C64 gets the third generation of users now.

It's 2026 and look who's back in Cologne, Germany, this time at gamescom. This gives me World of Commodore / Amiga vibes like in the 90s in Cologne. Or in Frankfurt in late 1992, so great, having had the opportunities to talk to Jeff Porter and Jim Sachs. Just two weeks after I got my Amiga 4000.

What day you mean? You can't put the nozzle in, lock the catch and walk away while the tank is filling up in the UK? Here in Germany this is still the standard. In fact I've never seen it any other way here.

Though it's hot and looks real sunny, it's definitely in Britain, where else do you have multiple outlets in one chimney? 😉

I'll take an FPGA Commodore Amiga 1200 Ultimate. Configurable from A500 68000 8 MHz to A4000 68060 50 MHz (or more). With physical legacy and modern I/O ports.

Reading it again this sounds like: The new Commodore only owns its trademarks and Amiga owns everything else from the old Commodore and the old Amiga, including 8bit stuff. At least they've reached a deal to cross-license. Should we now concentrate more on Amiga than on Commodore for the future?

RISC OS is quite a strange thing when you've been using Amiga OS back in the days. Especially the menu system with the submenus you can't just click on. And the cooperative multitasking where an app starts minimised in the "icon bar" dock instead of directly opening its window.

Apparently the Artix-7 is maxed out with the Amiga core, so the next prototype of the AMICUBE uses a larger FPGA. www.youtube.com/watch?v=KpNC...

Yes, real Commodore / Amiga stuff, that's what we want! The #MiniMig FPGA Amiga core is already running on the Artix-7 FPGA which is used in the C64U. Just saying. @commodoreofficial.bsky.social

Of all my C64s old and new I really like the #C64U Starlight Edition best. The lighting effects controlled by the SID tunes are really great and overall it's so comfortable to get and load anything.

Nice. Commodore just would've had to pick up some parts like this, already available (for years) to build an FPGA Amiga instead of a flop phone.

Let's show @commodoreofficial.bsky.social what we really want. Hint: it definitely isn't a flip phone. 😜 My third #C64U, I just had to order it while #commodore still exists and sells decent products. PS: This one is for a good friend of mine, also a 40+ years Commodore customer.

You really should've released a truly desirable product with the potential to help fund the future of Commodore. Desirable as the C64U, sold > 6500 times in the first 3 weeks after its announcement. But this "half dumb" phone: even enough to be manufactured? I had so much hope for Commodore. 😱
