iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

It's 2026 and look who's back in Cologne, Germany, this time at gamescom. This gives me World of Commodore / Amiga vibes like in the 90s in Cologne. Or in Frankfurt in late 1992, so great, having had the opportunities to talk to Jeff Porter and Jim Sachs. Just two weeks after I got my Amiga 4000.

Let's show @commodoreofficial.bsky.social what we really want. Hint: it definitely isn't a flip phone. 😜 My third #C64U, I just had to order it while #commodore still exists and sells decent products. PS: This one is for a good friend of mine, also a 40+ years Commodore customer.

I found a nicely matching PETG filament, 3D printed a joystick case with it and used arcade parts for it.

Here you are: Commodore 1802D, C64U Starlight Edition, first picture when connected via composite video, second one via luma / chroma. You can clearly see the color bleeding and ghost images on the first one.

Removed both Voltage Regulators the 12DV comes now from a switching power supply, the 12VCD comes now from a switching power supply, 5VD comes from a step down regulator. The logic part needs only 350mA. The Stepper motor and the Floppy Motor uses the 12VDC from the switching power source.

Great! The C64U firmware V3.14 also runs on Gideon's U64 Elite-II board. Download here: www.commodore.net/downloads First picture: before, with U64E2 firmware V3.12a-15 my 4:3 HDMI monitor can't scale the image correctly. Second picture: with the C64U V3.14 firmware it fills the screen perfectly.

My C64 Ultimate Starlight Edition did indeed arrive in time for Christmas! Thanks @commodoreofficial.bsky.social 🥳 Here with my recently and exactly for that purpose acquired Commodore 1802D Monitor hooked up via composite video. #c64 #c64u #commodore

With my C64U coming soon, I needed a new joystick. Since Commodore hasn't yet shipped my ArcadeRs I looked for a nice 3D-model and printed it myself on my Bambu Lab H2D with Prusa Galaxy Black PLA filament. I still need to wire it up. The model is from here: makerworld.com/en/models/67...

Oh, wow, finally! 🤩 My C64 Ultimate Starlight Edition has landed in Europe and the courier has been informed to pick it up. @commodoreofficial.bsky.social But i think the info email is rather prone to be sorted out as SPAM: The sender is “Standaard” with the address “noreply@sendcloud.com”.

My Ultimate 64 Elite-II board is here! 🥰 And I already put it in a nice breadbin case, with a real SID. It's working perfectly. More pics to come...

🥳 My first C64U is on its way. OK, it's "just" an Ultimate 64 Elite-II mainboard from Gideon. But that's the next best thing, isn't it? 🥰

We Did It. Commodore Is Home. With the final payment locking in the deal CEO Peri Fractic signed the final contracts in The Netherlands, officially acquiring all 47 original Commodore trademarks. After decades adrift, the brand is finally where it belongs - with fans. #WeAreCommodore commodore.net

One of my current projects: an Amiga 3000T/040 bought in parts. 1) After removing the paint and before applying Retr0bright. 2) Missing some bolts. 3) Missing RAM and A3640. 4) 3D-printed foot, not the best matching colour.
