I can’t believe I continue to miss Trudeau… this neoliberal climate ignorer PM is as frustrating as an opportunistic premier who made a terrible, terrible choice.

I feel bad for blasting through Irun last Sunday without stopping to pay homage. Though TBF, I did end up in Donostia for the following two days, then Bilbao, then Santander, and now Oviedo. :)

That sucks, and I’m glad you’re OK. We should also remember their humanity. It’s not that a car almost turned right, right into you, it’s that someone almost drove their car into you. Unless it was a Waymo, in which case someone programmed a car into a way that it could drive into you.

As Gianni “Il Bambino” Infascistino continues to show up at seemingly every match, I’d be interested in seeing how things evolve re: his carbon footprint. Maybe he can trim it a bit by joining my friend and I in our rented Corolla from Dallas to Houston after the Egypt match for the Canada match.

No wonder. Retirement home wasn’t wearing a reflective vest. Did it even have lights on?

I thought I could feed Copilot 20 spreadsheets with slightly different header alignments and it could combine them together into a single spreadsheet, with the headers aligned. Nope. Instead I had to manually check the spreadsheets, which meant it took more time because I was fighting with the AI.

NYC has already gotten its first taste of summer heatwaves, and the A/C is powering on. For some New Yorkers, this summer is different: They're running the A/C with stored power from Every Electric power banks, saving money and helping to create a more stable grid. Read how at tinyurl.com/yey8bjt5.

It’s the building’s fault. It should’ve been wearing a reflective vest, a helmet and had front and rear lights, and shouldn’t have been moving there. Must’ve appeared out of nowhere.

I don’t think this is a hot take, because it’s so clearly true. @raffic.bsky.social is an absolute legend (a local one for us southern Vancouver Islanders!) and I am proud to have been able to share his music with my son, and introduce the two.

Finding out I was considered "radical" for wanting kids to be able to get school safely and independently was shocking and what motivated me to try and help change that perspective. Culture Shift developed with @thebikinglawyer.bsky.social

culture shift

Normal
Accepting road violence
Accepting road fatalities
Accepting pedestrian fatalities
Accepting cyclist fatalities
Accepting excessive speeds
Accepting unsafe streets
Accepting pollution
Accepting gridlock
Accepting the loss of youth mobility
Accepting the loss of senior mobility

Radical
Wanting to prevent road violence
Wanting to prevent road fatalities
Wanting to prevent pedestrian fatalities
Wanting to prevent cyclist fatalities
Wanting slower speeds
Wanting safe streets
Wanting less pollution
Wanting less gridlock
Wanting youth mobility
Wanting senior mobility
It's time to rethink what's considered normal on our streets

Why is the mill rate more for policing than it is for schools? What does that say about priorities that our taxes are higher for policing than it is for schooling? Also, why are we paying more to an organization than undermines another, e.g., when the police chief got the school board fired?

@markusoff.bsky.social - I appreciate that you’re here; I don’t understand why your employer isn’t and why these garbage headlines that obscure traffic violence are allowed, either the original or the rewrite.

Adrian @akmohareb.bsky.social · 16/02/2026

How does this headline happen? No one did in pedestrian collisions (someone collided with me yesterday and all it did was make me grumpy). The headline should be “Jeep driver hits, kills toddler in stroller at marked intersection”. I’d tag the CBC but it’s not on this platform for some reason?

Adrian @akmohareb.bsky.social · 16/02/2026

I had a pedestrian collision yesterday. I wanted to say “watch where you’re walking” after he walked into me, but thought better of it. Pedestrian collisions don’t kill people.

Ugh. One cop recently blocked the ramp at the top of the path from Bridges Park. Same cop who needlessly turned on their lights to go through a red at Chatham and Govt, who I then caught up to on my bike at Store and JSB by not breaking any laws.
