Notably, the AIK does not separate the spiritual from the material. Instead, it posits that the material world is a limited perspective of a spiritual reality. What makes these religions and epistemologies solar in nature is their baseline axioms that they then order their beliefs and ideas around

Indigenous African knowledge & traditions are facilitated by a solar epistemology that characterised the sun religions of ancient Egypt & Sumer. It is 'solar' due to its focus on the divine and soul transmigration, and is in contrast to a Western 'lunar' epistemology that focuses on materiality.

Extract from a journal article that juxtaposes the main axioms of solar and lunar epistemologies.

Idk if this has been said before, but the African traditional and diasporic religions can be safely added to the list of religions of the Sun. All of them lol.☀️

There’s so much unnecessary speculations around the theory and methodology of the occult sciences like I PROMISE you some scholar in France in 2005 asked the same questions you’re asking and found the answers in people and places that you don’t have direct access to.

And it’s also important to know that there are different forms of talismans that make use the elections in different ways Not all talismans are/should be astral images😬

This is why I think y’all are better off grabbing the source material and learning from that than wasting money on content that’s just ripping from and reimagining (read: misinterpreting and decontextualizing) that material.

Consumers will take a pretty, showy magic that requires no effort and does very little over an effective magic that requires work and looks “dirty” or “unsophisticated.” This is a social media business. You’re being sold aesthetics.

People take the Picatrix-style talismanic magic route because it’s popular, not necessarily because it’s effective or even well understood. There are other types of talismans and other types of magic out there, but they’re harder to sell because people are looking for an aesthetic, not a result.

I honestly don’t think people would be this ignorant to the scope of the occult sciences if we didn’t have so many failed marketing and psych majors setting up talismanic shops and selling courses two days after they found out they could engrave a picture onto a rock.

عَقِيْل🪬 @akil-carta.bsky.social · 31/08/2025

Because what happens when you don’t have the gift of image magic in your chart but you’re a cunty prayer warrior? My Christian friends are already accustomed to forming a prayer circle at 3am. That 3am Jupiter day Jupiter hour Moon applying to Jupiter on the Asc with reception was perfect for that!

051

عَقِيْل🪬 @akil-carta.bsky.social · 31/08/2025

Just creating and selling ignorance. I absolutely cannot.

040

عَقِيْل🪬 @akil-carta.bsky.social · 31/08/2025

To reiterate, picatrix stye image magic aren’t the only path to talismanry. The magic squares are a separate technology with a separate science to making and using them. They are absolutely more than added symbolism on a desk.

Been thinking about this a lot. Images are very specific. They invoke very specific outcomes. But people use them as catch-alls and direct analogues to squares, seales, and sigils. That’s not how magic works at all.

عَقِيْل🪬 @akil-carta.bsky.social · 31/08/2025

It’s the way we are slowly normalising the buying and selling of inadequate elections in the form of materia, when we have absolutely no reason to, for me. And I think this is coming from an assumption that Picatrix style talismans are the only way to create materia…

This was probably THE FIRST book that I read on talismans and I wouldn’t have it any other way. It describes the point that I am making in great detail. I didn’t make a fu talisman, but the science of making them influences my current approach in general.
