The "inevitability of AI" as well as treating art production as a "race" are both lies to induce FOMO and trigger adoption, sell coaching. Successful art never "won" because it had better production metrics. It "won" because it had better reception metrics. Everybody stay cool and keep resisting!

Belated Halloween post (whoops!) I found some beautiful vintage Halloween postcards online and just had to draw my own version. The original card was published by Whitney Made circa early 1900s, but my research didn't turn up the illustrator's name (if you know them, lmk!) #halloween #vintageart

Caribou are an indicator species, meaning that their health reflects that of their ecosystem. They live in old-growth boreal forests. Protecting their habitat also protects many other species~ #caribou #reindeer #autumn #fall #canada #nature #wildlifeart #education #childrensillustration

My cat is from outer space! Concept work for a silly story about unusual friends. #kidlit #visdev #kidlitart #illustrator

A young girl with curly pigtails and dirty rubber boots smiles broadly while holding a green cat-like alien, who has an unimpressed expression. The background is a forest with a cloud of dark smoke in the distance.

This #earthday is a good day to learn about some endangered species in Canada and how you can help protect biodiversity. Impacted by habitat loss, the Eastern loggerhead shrike, mottled duskywing butterfly, whooping crane, and Blanding's turtle have all seen significant population reductions.

Biodiversity matters—every species plays a role. Featuring the mottled duskywing, Eastern loggerhead shrike, whooping crane & Blanding’s turtle. Let’s keep Canada wild 💚 #SaveOurSpecies #WildlifeArt

Took some time the other day to have fun with papercutting. Very freeing to just work on something with no pressure or goal in mind!

An illustrated papercut tiger with blue and red stripes, on a green background with lily pads, made to look like a polaroid. Photographed from above on a white surface with markers, a pencil, and scissors.

Year of the Dragon (that's me!) is meant to heal from last year and the spring will bring new opportunities. It's a good opportunity to focus on health and mental health ✨

The final from my sculpture project this past semester featuring my little witch cat, Fig. What a fun experience it was to get really into crafting, sculpting, and some creative problem-solving.

#artvsartist2024 #artvsartist I had a really incredible year, though it was a ton of work. I got to experiment with new mediums like sculpture, screen printing, block printing, and feeling like I'm really coming into what I enjoy doing. I'm looking forward to what new things 2025 brings!

Hey! I'm Terri, I'm currently studying illustration. I like to draw silly little guys.

A set of colourful illustrations including a red panda eating ramen, an opossum wearing a forget-me-not flower crown, and a raccoon wearing pride sunglasses on a pool floaty. In the center, there is a photo of the artist wearing a pink hat.
