SO CLOSE TO BLACKOUT (choosing to play with only things I've written lmao)

I finally figured out my vibe when people comment on a fic “I don’t like x in fics—“ I’m the scene from Rocky Horror when Janet says “I don’t like a man with too many muscles” and Franknfurter yells “I didn’t make him for YOU!” So basically, good thing I didn’t write this for you. It was for me.

Screen shot from rocky horror picture show. The top half is when Janet says “well…I don’t like men with too many muscles.” Bottom half is Frankenfurter yelling “I didn’t make him for you!”

I haven't done one in a while but I kinda want to do some sort of fic wrap up post this year, 'cause I'm pretty proud of myself for what I pulled off. I'll have to noodle on the format though.

"Every curse is breakable," Clover says, feeling even as he says it like he's repeating a platitude, but he's held so tightly to that belief for so long that it seems like everything might kind of go tits up if it turns out to be false. #rwby #fairgame #wordgamewednesday

Posted this the other day!! It sat politely in my drafts for years and then attacked me at random, RIGHT in the middle of NaNo, but I'm still not mad about it in the end. #naruto #kakairu #kkir Read here: archiveofourown.org/works/51586231

A dark black-and-white image of a traditional Japanese-style room with sliding doors and tatami mats. The text reads "Tipping Point, Kakashi/Iruka, omegaverse, 19k, by akaparalian."

A quote from the fic: "The last time he’d been on a mission this risky, Kakashi thinks wryly as they run—with, it must be said, what feels like the absolute tail end of his sanity—he’d been a teenager in a white mask. Of course, there’s a difference between “risky” in the sense of being deeply embedded in enemy territory without backup and pursued by S-rank missing nin and “risky” in the sense of giving himself far too many chances to end up in awkward interpersonal situations with the sole object of his affections, but hey, who’s counting?"

I can't stop thinking about how if all the fic I wrote in the past 2 days had been words on my NaNo project instead, I'd be at like 40k right now 🙃
