Announcing our Keynote speaker for #AshConf! @ajetha.bsky.social has built an award winning CRM, daylite.app, which was featured at WWDC, all while migrating a mature and complex codebase to #ElixirLang and #AshFramework. Come to Sweden on October 3rd (the day after Goatmire) to hear all about it 😎

It is! It is slowly taking over all of Daylite’s server side features.

Nooooo…. where am I going to get my info now? That said, thank you for all the hard work & great episodes!

Shouldn’t you wait for the new type notation before removing that kind of important info?

We have to be mindful, otherwise we’ll devolve into a toxic community rather than a welcoming one.

#goatmire took conferences to the next level. The Presentations, the Speakers, the Attendees all were amazing. And It really showcased why I love the elixir community so much. Huge thanks to @lawik.bsky.social and the team for organizing such an awesome event

What a WILD day at #Goatmire! I finally unveiled the surprise that @lawik.bsky.social and I have been cooking up for the last few months - every attendee received a Nerves-powered e-ink name badge! I had a blast on stage presenting the project and the process of how to design hardware for Nerves
A selfie of me on stage with about 100 attendees in the historic Varberg theater holding up their ElixirLang/Nerves powered name badges. An up close view of the conference name badge. The badge has the screen “schedule” on it, with labels for the buttons on the side of the device. The labels are “next page” and “back”

I am tired of having to justify “Why Elixir?” so I decided to compile all the reasons in one place. "#0181: Why Elixir? A Rebuttal to Common Misconceptions Why Elixir is not just a good platform for modern development, but a great one!" matthewsinclair.com/blog/0181-wh...
A stylised image of a vile of magic purple elixir.

I am sick and tired of having to justify “Why Elixir?” so I decided to write down all of the reasons why in one spot!

@bcardarella.bsky.social so what would be the top 3 things you’d change or tweak towards the goal of wider adoption?

curiosum.com/surveys/elix... > About a fifth of respondents are new (18.4%), while nearly as many (14.8%) have been using Elixir for eight years or more. From the graphs, it also looks like in case ppl don't drop off after the first years, they stay with Elixir for years. #ElixirLang
