Thank you for the kind words. 😊 I certainly understand, there's always something new to try out in TpF2. 👍 Possibly also worth waiting a little for TpF3, unless you're setup exceeds the 'recommended' there's a risk of some performance issues as quite a few are reporting. 😕

I guess we'll only know for certain should the relationship change or Urban Games do something really unexpected with the game. In the meantime I'm happy to accept that UG are not financially strained but just realised they needed a BIG publisher and that is ALL Paradox are. Until they're not.

Ajaxpost Plays @ajaxpost.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

For sure, there are some interesting questions to ask around choosing a publisher and how they see the relationship developing, if at all. There may be things they can't or won't say but I won't automatically assume that they will be lying or their answers are dishonest. We shall see...

010

Ajaxpost Plays @ajaxpost.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

I don't doubt they realised, as many devs do, that creating and marketing a game are quite separate, both needing a lot of time and money; hence having a publisher for the previous titles. To deliver TpF3 as it deserves I don't know if there are any 'good' publishers they could have chosen.

110

Ajaxpost Plays @ajaxpost.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

Hi, with all due respect I think it rather disingenuous to assume that Urban Games will not be truthful when talking about the publisher arrangement. And I really don't think the existence of a deluxe option is anything new or novel. They've done it before and probably always planned to do so.

210

Ajaxpost Plays @ajaxpost.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

You're right! I am indeed not Paxman. 😊 That said, it might be interesting to discover if they can tell us more about the new arrangement with you-know-who ...

Shipping to 'mainland England' was calculated at £24.40 so it does get rather expensive but if you're a dedicated Urban Games / Transport Fever supporter it might be worth it for you. #transportfever

Consumer demand pays off! Sort Of. UK customers can now order the Transport Fever 3 Collectors Edition - sadly, I'm not seeing any other excluded country added. HOWEVER, due to "customs regulations and import tax requirements post-Brexit, there is a minimum order value of £136 for UK shipments."
