Played in the big Threshold Tactics Team Tournament over the weekend with 20 high caliber teams. I was a part of our clubs second team with a beginner thankfully subbing in 2 weeks ago. We finished 2-3 in 11th place exceeding our goals. Team Warhammer is great! #WarhammerCommunity #AgeOfSigmar

This was such a fun experience, at a nice location with great food. We had a fun and relaxed team chemistry and only played against nice opponents. This community is just awesome! The only thing I did not like was random pairings on ~random battleplans for the last 2 matchups.

5th Round against Dice Dice Daddies. Random pairing against CoS, great matchups. He counter charged Horses T1, then took double 1-2, giving me the ability to delete the left objectives. Without crit mortal he cant lift more than 1 unit. I scored full points and our team won with 5-1 games +127pts

I won 80 - 33, so Matrix 97 - 3.

His Turn 1 he threw the Marshal and Steelhelms into the Plaguebearers in addition to the Horses. That gave me a great way to spread the disease to those 3 and Tahlia. But he was able to lift the full unit of PBs.

The left flank closes in, but with the Objectives disappearing my 300 pts hold quite a long time against his 700+ pts.
The Harbinger even pulls a hero move late in the game all-out attacking into Tahlia to either die or kill her (both denying Legend of the Parched 2). He actually kills the weekened Tahlia and lives the horses attacks.

4th Round against SliceNDice. I was scared of 30 Brutes and Kragnos, but with all the debuffs they cant kill enough of my Models. Only a double from 1-2 could have been tough, but manageable, and the reroll denied it A medium win on Curse of Gnaw was good, but did not do it with 2 wins 1 draw -67pts

The initial Crash of 20 Brutes and Kragnos into the Plaguebearer Walls only lifts 2 Drones and ~15 Plaguebearers.

My Top of 2 I was able to charge the rotswords into the center, where he countercharged the last 10 Brutes. The top unit is gone after a charge with 2 heroes and the center units are decimated.

3rd Round against Dicemen. Got paired into Barrow Guard, which is great especially with Rotigus Spell to stop healing. He succeeded Rounds 2-4, so the grind was heavily favored to my side. He blocked off the center but I was able to outlast and outscore. This time we won 4/6 games for a +102 Win.

2nd Round against Battle Barbies 2. First time against DoKs new book, he thought it was a loosing matchup so we did not engage rounds 1-2. Was able to pull ahead on BT and Battleplan. If I did not misunderstand him Round 4, I could have scored 10 more, but we lost the round by 29 total with 2/6 wins

The Battlefield after Top of 2, not much has happened, except for my Castle moving forward and establishing the Plaguebearers on the important objectives.

Late in the Game. The Witch Elves finally got to taste some Nurgle Blood wiping the right side plague bearers but now facing down the Rotswords. Morathi engages the Flies on the left flank.

First round against Battle Barbies. I paired into Monster Mash Sylv, a tough matchup, especially if Rotigus refuses to cast as he did. The Rotswords were too far up and got ganked by 3 monsters. I lost by too many points, the team won 2/6 games and those by tight margins. A tough -72 loss to start.

The deciding turn. Three monsters were too much for the Rotswords, that lost the tree shielding them in shooting.

I was still able to score at the end, as the opponent retreated for a round to heal disease and then health on all the monsters.

I worked on the list over the last months with the Nurgle player in our 1st team. We arrived at 3 blocks of 20 + Rotigus for an army that can't lose by high margins Drones were a late addition but worked out great In my games I went 4-1, which I am quite proud of but I had great pairings every round

My Results. In the meaningless "singles ranking" I finished 18th out of 120 players with the best nurgle and Würfelgötter results

Game 3 - Warped Ruins vs Sylv (another Clubmate) Again a bad matchup on a plan I don't like on Nurgle. He was too hesistant to engage and could not score his Battle Tactics, while I got some extra points here and there. Then it was already too late for him to engage and grind me down before the end

The end of Round 2, pretty much nothing happened, except for the Jaws eating a Branchwych and me taking a slight lead with 1x scoring more and 1 more BT.

Turn 3 Durthu TPed in my bottom right corner and did not charge, so Roti and Blightkings turned around to clean him up.
I also push out a bit more to grab pair and more.

In the End I take the double to deny as much scoring as I could and screen out any potential TP to my Hideout.

Game 2 - Bloodstained Coasts vs Nurgle (Clubmate) Played out like I thought it would. Both scored 10 T1 and 6 after, even on battle tactics. But I could have denied Siege 2, if I thought more about a pile-in. Both had a push Turn 5 for a potential win but could not convert. So many dice for a draw 😅

My Turn 1. I score Siege and pressure the left flank enough for Roti to stay there for a while. Push forward Plaguebearer and Rotswords on 3 Objectives.

Turn 3-ish. The Blightkings come back with the Poxbringer. Rotswords stay on my Center, Roti and the other Plaguebearer ward of the opposing Rotswords.

Game 1 - Caverns of Slaughter vs Sylvaneth Tough Matchup, especially with Roti Bubble not working until Turn 4. Had a path to a +1 win with Blazing 3, but wasn't able to get 2 units down in the end. Probably should have parked the Rotswords in the forest instead of Plaguebearers and pushed ore

Top of 2 the Sylvaneth crash into the big blocks of Plaguebearers. Alarielle + Kurnoth mostly lift the ones in the woods, The Spiteriders mostly bounce of the ones on the objective.

Bottom of 3, my Blightkings and the remaining Plaguebearer score Siege 2. Rotigus nearly falls protecting the rotswords from the Sword Kurnoth Countercharge so that they can lift Alarielle.

Played my first Nurgle Tournament with a pretty basic list. 2 Sylvaneth Matchups and 1 Mirror is not what I want to be paired against, but I'm happy with 1-1-1 and +17 points. I'm getting my hang with Nurgle and did not run into time problems, which is also nice. #WarhammerCommunity #AgeOfSigmar

Played two games against high level opponents for our monthly AoS Stammtisch. My first IRL games with Nurgle. That brought some new problems with bubble management etc that were way easier on TTS. Tried out Lord of Affliction + 1 Pusgoyle, but did not like it over 20 more Bearer. #WarhammerCommunity

Game 3 - Escape from the Coast The opponent set up with Blood Knights away from my army and I was able to set up for a potential (not too risky double 1-2), where I was able to clean up most of the army except for the Blood Knights and keep them screened out from my core army for bottom of 2.

Deployment. I focused on the stable objectives on the right.
They deployed the Blood Knights and Hero far away from me so I was able to focus down half their army before they got relevant.

Their Top of Turn 1. I did not expect the Skeleton Rider into the Arboys.

Middle of Turn 1. I was able to fully kill the skeleton horses and set up for a double after a fully scored 20 turn.

Game 2 - Curse of the Gnaw vs a friend on KB Made a big mistake in deployment. I thought I had more space bottom right. I cant engage into 2x20 Gutrippaz. I tried, but Brutes got fight last (3+) and countercharged by the KB hero for +1 Attack. I wasnt able to sit back and play BT so I had to try

Game 1 - Into the Fire vs Ogors Had a gameplan ready for this mission and played the bottom 3 objectives. Trying to stall the Gluttons & Ironguts near the Center, thin them out and pin them with Ardboys Was able to set up BTs and neutralize most of the enemy damage. New SoA Brutes absolutely slap

Initial Deployment. I was set up heavily in the center. Mostly forfeiting the top and threatening if the opponent overextending on the bottom top of 1.

After Bottom of 2 I was able to send the buffed 20 Ards into the Gluttons, ready to pin Ironguts if I lost the rolloff.
Gordrakk cleaned up a Stonehorn on the bottom objective.
The double turn afterwards sealed the deal mostly.

Was at a new 10 player RTT on saturday as my first tournament of the new GHB. Had a few practice games beforehand to learn the new mechanics. I liked the list but I think I need 1-2 more units in total for some missions and BT (especially denying). Had a great time and went 2-1 #WarhammerCommunity

#HobbyStreak day 23-24: Yesterday I tinkered with some lists for my final games this GHB on sunday. Today I reorganized my "merfolk project": I'm in the process of trying to collect 1 of each art printed in the first set of each merfolk card (currently at ~230/355 + 6/7 tokens)

#HobbyStreak day 22: TI4 game day. In the end I had the win in my hand, but Arborec got handed Imperial and was able to score 4 points (including a randomly drawn secret) before I could win in the status phase. Definitely a bit sad, that I couldn't convince the Speaker to take Imperial

My last turn push into the Fracture, I had opened up in setup. The only way I could have won before the status phase would be another +1VP relic / exploration from Styx.

#HobbyStreak day 13: Went to a Secrets of Strixhaven Draft and had too many early UR picks to not force it. In the end we had 4/10 people in the pod on Prismari and I didnt get enough removal Went 2-1 losing in the final to a bigger UR control deck. Prismari > Bulk Up + Flashback Bulkup was dope

#HobbyStreak day 10: Really not feeling painting currently, so I worked on prepping my strategy for TI4 instead. Also looked through some 3D print files for the flagship of the picked factions and started preparing a file for printing them.

Two 3d files in Lychee slicer for the Ghost of Creuss (I'll most likely use it for Crimson Rebellion) and Naaz-Rokha Flagship designs by Saunick on CGTrader.

#HobbyStreak day 3: More planning for Sylvaneth. Also reorganized the IJ layer of my cabinet. Even without my Rogue Idol and Mawkrusha it barely fits. So I hung the Feet and Swamp upside down at the top 😅

My cleaned up IJ layer in the display cabinet. It holds 30+ Ardboys, 15 Brutes 12 Rager, 6 Pigs, 2 Big Pigs and a collection of Heroes. The Feet and Swamp hang from the top of the cabinet.

#HobbyStreak day 2: Got some motivation to work on the Sylvaneth again. Repainted the ghosty bits on the SpiteRevs ontop of the lavender, that I didn't like. Going to select the right one tomorrow and pick up work from there.

Five Spite Revenants for Age of Sigmar with their bark in a yellowish brown drybrush-shaded state and their ghostly halves now painted in slightly different pale green tones.

I kind of liked the list generally. Scouting+Attuned was the wrong decision into unknown battleplans though. I'm missing a bit of mobility as well. I liked the Subfaction fwiw and got quite a bit of use out of it into Foxes/Kurnoth/Durthu/Lancers. As always, a nice tournament against 3 fun opponents

Game 3 - Surge of Slaughter against Sylvaneth Again tough matchup against a great player. He pushed Durthu and Scythes up the middle, I gave the flanks too easily. Decided to risk it on Brutes into Durthu (3+ fight last). I can snowball if he doesn't get it. Lost most of the unit before their attack

Game 2 - Passing Seasons against LRL Opponent played passively and didn't think he had enough output against me. He didn't push to try and score Master/Intercept, and I was able to mostly lock down the side objectives for a game with not a lot of combat. I got to roll a 3d6+3 charge!

One of the side Objectives, where Brutes removed one Fox and the other fled towards the big block of Wardens. Ardboys push up the middle to tag the fox in combat again.

Game 1 - Creeping Corruption against Sylvaneth New Burgeoning made this matchup even more tricky, where they now ignore me tagging their hammer units. Also Dryads are unkillable for a 90pt unit that recurs. I can't score sccouting, and failed to deny Master1 so I fell behind slightly and lost by 7.
