Después de leer The Staircase in the Woods, el último libro de Chuck Wendig, me he dado cuenta de que cada vez llevo peor las escenas de violencia cuando me resultan innecesariamente gráficas y/o me da la sensación de que están para tapar una trama irregular, floja o que no avanza.

La misma gata asoma ahora toda la cara. Es negra hasta por debajo de la nariz, así que parece que vaya disfrazada de Batman.

la gata en modo cotilla ya asomada de cintura para arriba (ya me entendéis), las patitas apoyadas y cara de haber visto un fantasma o haber escuchado un muy buen chisme.

En lo que parece ser la noche, en medio de un bosque de árboles desnudos y nada amenazadores, se alza la sombra de una casa en un tono rojo que da cero miedito y, frente a ella, una hachuela de tamaño así como muy grande. En el suelo, también de un color rojo natural, porque es bien sabido que los suelos naturales son rojos, infinidad de raíces serpentean hacia la casa como culebras que todo el mundo querría encontrarse de lo monas y poco intimidantes que son.
