I don’t think ppl understand the whole “who cares if nobody likes it! make content for yourself” is extremely dismissive Bc we ARE making the content for ourselves but it feels /bad/ when people don’t engage or show interest. You can care about both at the same time

Critical Role merch really has nosedived lately. From Beauty of Exandria arriving within 7 days locally to Animal Crossing pixel art arriving in maybe a month after paying a third-party.

Canada’s response to tighter trade issues and restricted ports of access really is just “fuck it, northwest passage.”

The amount of people I have known who try to pass off extensive and expensive training as raw talent and unguided practice is baffling. There are many ‘feral’ talents who are uniquely privileged in that they could afford and focus on professional training in adjacent fields.

The official “residuum” dice from CR was too expensive for me to justify and not quite what I’d always pictured. So I went on the hunt and found these sharp-edge resin at a convention.

Working with Canadian Privacy Law gives you a lot of understanding when companies actively choose to violate that for no reason other than they want to.

The wonders of competent kickstarters distribution: Eldermancy/Ghostfire Gaming- sends invalid tracking, no movement in over a month. Hitpoint Press- sends tracking, 12 hours later there notice of clearing customs and transit to a Canadian courier. Sure, customs into Canada is the problem.

Still no movement on the Eldermancy kickstarter book after a month of no valid tracking, no movement, no updates. Last contact with @ghostfiregaming.bsky.social was 8 days ago where they were “waiting to hear back” for Canadian shipments. For reference, the invalid tracking was received on July 17

And into the final blocking to straighten the nearly 9ft shoulder edge. 40+ hours of work, approx 1770 yards of yarn. But ready for autumn when it gets here.

Well, live and learn. Never back kickstarters from Eldermancy despite the connection to @ghostfiregaming.bsky.social if there’s hope of getting a physical item set. A month of alleged shipping in Canada and no update, movement, or confirmed tracking. Expensive PDF only at this rate.

Happy (belated) International Tiger Day! 🐯🧡 #art #tigers #cats

A vintage-style drawing of a young tiger wearing an old-fashioned dress and straw hat. She holds a tiger lily in her paws as she smiles, standing in a garden with more tiger lilies and a country style fence behind her.

Took 20 years and a good therapist to get me accepting that there was nothing wrong with writing down or processing my failing mental health in journals and under otherwise anonymous media. That venting in a manner I best associated with was a normal, healthy, coping strategy I needed at the time.

Fun game: trading music recs with friends to find the most niche thing in your library that you think they’d like. Throat singing indigenous techno for the win. And Nordic lullabies about wolves.
