Literally up until we beat Atlanta, I was lamenting all of Rose’s draft failures. The championship has—lol—papered over the fact that he can’t draft for shit. But basically every trade he made turned out to work to maximum value and Brunson is better than anyone ever imagined. Video game stuff tbh

My kingdom for just….drafting a player whose good lol In 20 years, its been Judge, Cam, and Rice. And the last 2 were in the last 5 years of drafts. Apart from that, we can’t acquire talent without overpaying for it. And usually those players are at the end of their prime or past it

The Yankees are “successfully” doing what the Giants thought they were doing in Eli’s later years. “Competitive rebuild”, “we’re just one more piece away” etc. Giants were incapable of assessing how bad it REALLY was. Yanks can spend their way over that delusion. The whole program is stale.

I’m on an armchair but why weren’t some of these guys at the World Cup? Other nations have no problems with teens at major tournaments. But we were trotting out 84 year old Tim Ream or bringing veterans who have barely produced over the years, for club and country.

Also, i’ve seen plenty of defenders commit to a sliding ballcarrier and they easily manage to dodge/jump over or avoid him. Even a bit of incidental contact is usually ignored if you’re clearly getting to the side.
