What this country needs more than anything is an amendment guaranteeing a constitutional right to privacy.

Every single thing I read about One Night Only seems like a contrived scheme to make people Big Mad on the internet.

Generally terrible, but maybe the predictable collapse of EA in three or four years will allow the exclusive licenses to pass to other companies.

the intentional abdication by Congress of nearly all of its constitutional responsibilities is at the core of most of our problems as a nation

We don't need caps. We need legislation breaking up the closed monopoly by forcing an open promotion/relegation system. Let splashy billionaires buy the Charlotte Knights or Sacramento River Cats and play their way up. Bring capitalism back to baseball. Sadly won't happen though.

ESPN laying everyone off so they can pay Stephen A & Pat McAfee 9 figures is exactly why ESPN sucks now. Every media outlet (sports or otherwise) prioritizes carnival barkers despite consumers rejecting them. PTI is ESPN's most-watched daily show for a reason.

Therefore swords = good for killing unimportant people, and good at being less likely to kill important people. By the late medieval period, as emergent national identity shifted warfare and decreased feudal obligation, weapons of war became more universally lethal.

The primary damage of swords against armor was actually the blunt force, not the cutting. Maces are good killing weapons against armored foes. But armored foes are often men of means, and you ideally wouldn't want to kill them because then you can't ransom them back...
