Unfortunately, USFS has now confirmed that several skaters and their families were on board of the plane from Wichita to Washington DC, which tragically crashed last night. Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this devastating loss.

U.S. Figure Skating can confirm that several members of our skating community were sadly aboard American Airlines Flight 5342, which collided with a helicopter yesterday evening in Washington DC. These athletes, coaches, and family members were returning home from the National Development Camp held in conjunction with the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Wichita, Kansas.

We are devastated by this unspeakable tragedy and hold in the victims’ families closely in our hearts. We will continue to monitor the situation and will release more information as it becomes available.

Wei Wuxian ! Pro cyclist turned bike courier turned pro cyclist again??? Or is it a fluke?? WQ convinces wwx to enter into a road race in Gusu, where lwj is also competing and has been the race leader for the past 3 years. Wwx shocks everyone by breaking from the pack to challenge lwj

A Collection of sketches of wwx as a cyclist. The first one is a drawing of wwx with a huge scrape on the right side of his body, he’s pulling his bike shorts up to look at it.
Text reads: “Wwx works as a bike Courier
He doesnt fall often, but this time he was trying to get past a bus and ate shit. (owie.)” and wwx is saying “fuck!”

Next text reads:
“Recently he has started working part time at WQ & WN's Bike Shop as a mechanic.”
The drawing here is of wwx working on a bike with a wrench, he’s wearing his red shirt and red hat. His arms are muscular and he’s very focused.
The next image is of wwx in a jiang purple jersey and hat, leaning on his bike casually, the text reads:
whenWwx was on a cycling
team with Jiang cheng”

The last image is another drawing of wwx with his bike over his shoulder, he is grinning and wearing a black and red Yiling Kit (matching jersey and shorts and hat is called a kit).
Text reads:
“He still races but he's virtually unknown. He joined a local Queer cycling ClUb (WN and WQ also belong to it) but he doesnt break away from that Circle much. mostly he participates in smaller Circuits and neighborhood races.”

An illustration of wwx and lwj racing each other. Wwx is sneaking up to overtake lwj, who looks startled to see him. Wwx is in all red and is riding his black and red bike. Lwj is in all blue and riding his blue and white bike. The mood is intense and the wind rushes by them in visible strokes.

once again thinking about this passage from David Lynch's book Catching the Big Fish

excerpt reads: "I hear stories about directors who scream at actors, or they trick them somehow to get a performance. And there are some people who try to run the whole business on fear. But I think this is such a joke -- it's pathetic and stupid at the same time.
When people are in fear, they don't want to go to work. So many people today have that feeling. Then the fear starts turning into hate, and they begin to hate going to work. Then the hate can turn into anger and people can become angry at their boss and their work.
If I ran my set with fear, I would get 1 percent, not 100 percent, of what I get. And there would be no fun in going down the road together. And it *should* be fun. In work and in life, we're all supposed to get along. We're supposed to have so much fun, like puppy dogs with our tails wagging. It's supposed to be great living; it's supposed to be fantastic."

A-yuan and bunnies!!!

Zewu-jun was in charge of qin lessons today.
A'Yuan shouldn't be grumpy about it, because bobo-Zewu-jun-is a good teacher, but Hanguang-jun was supposed to lead the lesson today. A Yuan has been practicing his scales all day so Hanguang-jun could see. He's too big to cry about it, but he stays behind to demand an answer.
Except when he asks, bobo turns quiet and thoughtful, and says, "He's having a difficult day.
He's at home. Do you want to come see him?" Oh.
It hadn't occurred to A'Yuan that grownups could have a day so bad they would have to stay home. Especially not grownups like Hanguang-jun. He was sick, when A'Yuan was little, but that was years ago.

Suddenly, A'Yuan is afraid: Is he okay? Is he sick again? Is he sad, or scared? What are you supposed to do, when someone who takes care of you isn't okay? The thought feels huge enough to swallow him up, and suddenly he feels like crying for a different reason.
"I want to bring him something," he says. It feels important. Hanguang-jun brings him little gifts sometimes, or draws him pictures, or takes him to the bunny field. He told A'Yuan once that the bunnies make him feel better when he's sad...
..Suddenly, A'Yuan has an idea.
"Bobo," he says, and he's not even afraid anymore because he's so excited. "Bobo, can we bring a bunny to his room?"
Bobo laughs, and then pauses. "That's against the rules," he says, and A'Yuan's excitement starts to sink in his stomach, but then bobo leans in and lowers his voice. "So we'll need to plan it well, and be really sneaky..

moshang as that one cabin pressure quote 🍜❄️ #moshang #svsss

mobei jun says “Qinghua!” as he holds up a steaming bowl

A startled Shang Qinghua says, “HUH!! Y-Yes, my king?” He’s writing something, probably yaoi. MBJ’s hand enters the panel to hand him the bowl, saying: “Here.”

Panel 1: MBJ: “I’ve made you a nice, hot bowl of noodles.”
SQH: “Ith pwothen. (It’s frozen.)” he licked the surface and now his tongue is stuck.
Panel 2: MBJ: Nice bowl of noodles.
SQH: It’s awful.
An arrow points at the bowl saying: no salt

Panel 1: A nervous MBJ: Bowl of noodles.
SQH, looking dubiously at the bowl: I’m not even sure it /is/ noodles.
A text box reads: Noodle content: 0%
Panel 2: An annoyed and somewhat soulless MBJ: Bowl.
A confused SQH is shaking the upside down bowl vigorously.

Time to share this quick air filter solution for wildfire smoke once again. All you need is a box fan and a home air/furnace filter that you can get at pretty much any hardware store. Optional is some duct tape to get a good seal. Stay safe! #LAFires

How To Build A Low Cost Air Filter (From Washington University) What you’ll need to build: box fan, 20x20 furnace filter, and optional duct tape or bungee cords.
Step 1: place filter on the back of fan (air intake side)
Step 2: Use duct tape or bungee cords to secure the filter
Step 3: Place in an area away from obstacles and turn on
Step 4: Keep all windows and doors closed to prevent new smoke from getting inside.

"bypassing traditional milestones" is a funny way of saying that most of us can't afford to buy a house with multiple jobs, won't have children because we can't afford them, most of our degrees are useless, and we are the poorest generation among all current living generations
