Putting the result aside, Spurs are still sloooowwllyy improving. Over 2 xG and lost to some screamers. Out of possession still isn’t great, but the in possession stuff is coming along

I’m sure plenty of creators and pundits have come this conclusion all by themselves, but to me, it seems like there is a concerted effort to build a general consensus that Kane deserves the Ballon D’Or

I’m not usually big on remake/remastering games but the graphics and design choices in new Ocarina of Time are moving me Not sure I like the art style of characters’ faces, but the backgrounds look incredible

Keen to see whether Chema Andres can settle in the Premier League. Could end up being another player Brighton flip for huge money

I think I underestimated how long it would take the new group to click together. Definitely the most rebuildy rebuild Spurs have done for quite a while

Nah sorry, I’m not engaging with any of this. Had a lovely bank holiday day out and I’m not going to let incompetent sports people ruin it

There are pros to Ndiaye. Positional versatility across the front line. Good 1v1 ability, but lacks end product. Really wanted another shooter in the team. Was really high on Spurs this season (still think they will generally do well) but going to drop them out of my top 5 predictions now I think
010
Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 29/08/2026
I think they are both really talented for their age, but they don't have the experience to contribute effectively as starters. I would keep Tel then loan Moore so he gets a full season playing at a slightly easier level
010
Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 29/08/2026
Expected Richarlison and Sarr but Danso is concerning. All eyes on Byfield if he can get fit as I would still rather pursue a LW than another CB
010
Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 29/08/2026
That isn’t ideal. Was fully expecting this deal to get done. Would like Spurs to sign another wide player but not sure Ndiaye is it. Really not interested in a Tel + Moore education season

There are too many ‘content creators’ who are irresponsible with what they say and have no informed basis in how they reach conclusions. Just emotional slop merchants wrapped up as ‘insight’

Pretty clear MOTM in my opinion. Had a great game

Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 29/08/2026
Relative to last season and last week, I don’t think that was too bad. Clearly improving in increments and when they can field better attacking players, it will improve more. Forest away will be tough, but I think things should be coming together by Everton

Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 29/08/2026
Spurs seem to be moving in the right direction. Without a RB at RW and Fernandes deeper with a proper number 10, this will start looking even better
030
Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 29/08/2026
Line-up graphic in the stadium is different from the social media one and it’s inferring that Spurs are going with Option 1. Although that is, of course, not conclusive info

Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 29/08/2026
So do I, but only if they are fit and ready. I think they are all starting XI players (except Robertson) and don’t want any strains or muscle tears if they are not fit
100
Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 29/08/2026
Can’t predict today’s line-up, but what I would say is I’d rather Spurs field a worse team than rush anyone back into the starting XI and risk re-injury/push a player to a level they are not ready for yet I can wait another week for a full strength XI. I cannot tolerate another injury ridden season
150
Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 29/08/2026
Fully respect players' desire to be in a first XI, but Danso transfer is a hard no from me, at least until January or ideally next summer. Not going through the season with 3 senior CB's where one of them has a notable injury history

I always do this anyway, but then was told some of how I write is also how AI tends to write, so I need to match its structure but not its language usage. None of the advice the employment places provide actually works. It's just perpetually jumping through hoops
010
Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 28/08/2026
I manually updated my CV to make it over 90% AI compatible then I was told it looks too much like it was written by AI. When it wasn't, but that's what I was told it needed to be. Later got told my cover letters are too formulaic based on the formula I was told I had to use or it would be rejected
010
Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 28/08/2026
Yeah, I've been on mandatory courses about it, but I hate it. I've manually written documents which fall within AI style guides, but nothing works. It feels like the criticism is less about what I wrote and more about the fact I'm not using the AI tool to write it
010
Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 28/08/2026
Been vocally against generative AI, but I'm reaching a point where I might just have to use it to generate adjusted CV's and cover letters. No matter what I try, I can't seem to get through to an interview stage anywhere. An endless cycle of applications and auto-generated rejections

Oh yeah, league is comfortable. I tend to think about the squad in UEFA terms regardless of where Spurs currently are as it's where (in my opinion) they should be aiming
100
Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 28/08/2026
Yep, Club trained looks really good for once. I meant more about association trained. Danso doesn’t count for UEFA competitions and I’m not sure Odobert will either. I would personally move Gallagher on and there will be questions around Maddison as well.

Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 27/08/2026
By my reckoning, Spurs are still looking for 1 in and 11-12 out (a lot would be development loans). Quite a bit to do before next week!
000
Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 27/08/2026
I don't like having inexperienced backup keepers personally, but I get what you mean. Also didn't realise, but apparently Dubravka is only on a 1 year contract anyway so unless he is extended, will free up a spot
110
Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 27/08/2026
Oh don't worry, they are already well in my considerations. Although I am tempted by the idea of a LWB loan next season just to get first XI minutes before being fully incorporated in 28/29 season. Similarly, loan Moore this year to be fully part of the squad next year
010
Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 27/08/2026
They might move on Dubravka that quickly, but I'd be surprised. I agree a RB would be useful now, but I don't see it happening due to squad space and appropriate candidates. Archie will have to do

Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 27/08/2026
Interesting thing to keep an eye on this season. I think by next summer, Spurs may need to focus on bringing in HG players (based on my preferences around who the squad should be built around) A RB. Maybe a CB. A Fernandes-esque 6. Will be interesting to scout the league looking for options

When Spurs finally manage to field a team with Fernandes in midfield and a number 10 who is also comfortable receiving in tight spaces, the cooking shall commence

I’m getting at the fact neither are great passers who are especially good at receiving the ball under pressure. It’s more of a question of balance in midfield rather than overall ability. I don’t think they compliment one another or cover for each others shortcomings
110
Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 26/08/2026
Bergvall + Bentancur is a midfield balance which would be punished in the Premier League. If Charlton sit off, it should be ok, but a little risky. Trick will be finding Solanke and Fernandes further forward

Daemons of the Shadow Realm seems to have some of the world-building traits a lot of new anime have but it's so funny seeing so many Hiromu Arakawa design habits everywhere. You can basically pick out Fullmetal Alchemist characters as you watch

Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 22/08/2026
Oh really? Always thought he was more effective on the left, but whatever. Right side needs him more anyway and probably better for his international career if he plays on the right

Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 22/08/2026
He isn't, but for years he was my choice to replace Romero if Cuti asked to leave. I believe he can be great with time and a partner who covers for his faults

Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 22/08/2026
I'm a big van Hecke fan myself, but today's balance was offff. Maybe Porro and Udogie either side help more. Whatever the case, adjustments needed
120
Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 22/08/2026
Yeah that could work. All depends on full Van de Ven timeline return I guess. If it is going to be Senesi for a while, then I can get behind Danso starting
101
Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 22/08/2026
*Senesi is good, but pairs much better with Danso than van Hecke. Equally don't really want Van de Ven next to Danso
