Putting the result aside, Spurs are still sloooowwllyy improving. Over 2 xG and lost to some screamers. Out of possession still isn’t great, but the in possession stuff is coming along

I’m sure plenty of creators and pundits have come this conclusion all by themselves, but to me, it seems like there is a concerted effort to build a general consensus that Kane deserves the Ballon D’Or

I’m not usually big on remake/remastering games but the graphics and design choices in new Ocarina of Time are moving me Not sure I like the art style of characters’ faces, but the backgrounds look incredible

Nah sorry, I’m not engaging with any of this. Had a lovely bank holiday day out and I’m not going to let incompetent sports people ruin it

There are pros to Ndiaye. Positional versatility across the front line. Good 1v1 ability, but lacks end product. Really wanted another shooter in the team. Was really high on Spurs this season (still think they will generally do well) but going to drop them out of my top 5 predictions now I think

Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 29/08/2026
Expected Richarlison and Sarr but Danso is concerning. All eyes on Byfield if he can get fit as I would still rather pursue a LW than another CB

Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 29/08/2026
That isn’t ideal. Was fully expecting this deal to get done. Would like Spurs to sign another wide player but not sure Ndiaye is it. Really not interested in a Tel + Moore education season

There are too many ‘content creators’ who are irresponsible with what they say and have no informed basis in how they reach conclusions. Just emotional slop merchants wrapped up as ‘insight’

Pretty clear MOTM in my opinion. Had a great game

Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 29/08/2026
Relative to last season and last week, I don’t think that was too bad. Clearly improving in increments and when they can field better attacking players, it will improve more. Forest away will be tough, but I think things should be coming together by Everton

Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 29/08/2026
Spurs seem to be moving in the right direction. Without a RB at RW and Fernandes deeper with a proper number 10, this will start looking even better

Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 29/08/2026
Line-up graphic in the stadium is different from the social media one and it’s inferring that Spurs are going with Option 1. Although that is, of course, not conclusive info
020
Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 29/08/2026
Can’t predict today’s line-up, but what I would say is I’d rather Spurs field a worse team than rush anyone back into the starting XI and risk re-injury/push a player to a level they are not ready for yet I can wait another week for a full strength XI. I cannot tolerate another injury ridden season

Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 29/08/2026
Fully respect players' desire to be in a first XI, but Danso transfer is a hard no from me, at least until January or ideally next summer. Not going through the season with 3 senior CB's where one of them has a notable injury history

Been vocally against generative AI, but I'm reaching a point where I might just have to use it to generate adjusted CV's and cover letters. No matter what I try, I can't seem to get through to an interview stage anywhere. An endless cycle of applications and auto-generated rejections

By my reckoning, Spurs are still looking for 1 in and 11-12 out (a lot would be development loans). Quite a bit to do before next week!

Interesting thing to keep an eye on this season. I think by next summer, Spurs may need to focus on bringing in HG players (based on my preferences around who the squad should be built around) A RB. Maybe a CB. A Fernandes-esque 6. Will be interesting to scout the league looking for options

When Spurs finally manage to field a team with Fernandes in midfield and a number 10 who is also comfortable receiving in tight spaces, the cooking shall commence

Bergvall + Bentancur is a midfield balance which would be punished in the Premier League. If Charlton sit off, it should be ok, but a little risky. Trick will be finding Solanke and Fernandes further forward

Daemons of the Shadow Realm seems to have some of the world-building traits a lot of new anime have but it's so funny seeing so many Hiromu Arakawa design habits everywhere. You can basically pick out Fullmetal Alchemist characters as you watch

Obvs attackers aren't confirmed, but this is the team and how it HAS to be set up. Would prefer Savinho left, but whatever. Name in caps means they are essential and Spurs don't have a viable alternative* Lower case, can get rotated with some different effects here and there
Tottenham squad line-up after presumed signing of Marmoush, Savinho and Gakpo

Disregard it due to game state if you want, but in my opinion, Spurs have looked a lot better when the players not at the level we’re subbed off and the better ones were subbed on

Not if they play Tel right and Tonali wide left

Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 22/08/2026
This team will be very good, but you have to set it up in a pretty specific way. I think if Maddison or Williams-Barnett come on, Spurs will get a goal
000
Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 22/08/2026
Fernandes immediately looks like the best Spurs player on the pitch and Tonali looks better when he isn’t at the base of midfield. Shocker
040
Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 22/08/2026
Richarlison’s hold up play is a huge weakness. Bergvall and Tonali have both been poor but it’s exacerbated by not having the Fernandes profile next to either of them. Gallagher being unable to offer any link play is a huge problem. Attack is too limited to be this isolated

I will update this at the end of the transfer window, but my current Premier League predictions are: 1. Arsenal 2. Chelsea 3. Tottenham Hotspur 4. Manchester City 5. Manchester United 6. Liverpool 7. Brentford 8. Aston Villa 9. Brighton 10. Bournemouth

Every transfer reaction piece of content this summer endlessly praised the Tielemans deal. He's always had difficulty out of possession and United primarily want to play direct football? Maybe Baleba can balance it, but United simply don't control games well enough to mitigate transition threat imo

Some of the new Premier League rules are mad. Having to sideline an outfield player for 1 minute after a goalkeeper injury is such a wild overcompensation for a minor bit of time wasting. Also I think there are going to be way more red cards with the second yellow VAR intervention being allowed

Hope Spurs get some kind of news today. It's realistically too late for a new signing to start against Brentford, but I fear a front line of Tel, Richarlison & Moore with available subs being something like Williams-Barnett, Elliot-Parris & Ajayi is not going to be enough to pick up points on GW1

Aidan Scott @aidanscott.bsky.social · 19/08/2026
If Carrick can get Baleba back to 24/25 form, United may have fixed their midfield. Still think they might have problems with UCL schedule, but might not get the drop off I initially expected

Vicario could put up the best goalkeeper numbers in Europe this season and I am still certain Spurs are going to get drawn into a long haggling process with Juventus next summer
