090

ava!! @ahvahhediting.com · 03/09/2026

i dont even want people to alternate i just want them to at least use one of the pronouns i use and not default to 'they', like theyre so scared to misgender me that they misgender me its so weird 😭😭

110

ava!! @ahvahhediting.com · 03/09/2026

its crazy how many times someone has introduced me by saying 'this is ava, they use he/she pronouns'.. literally failing at the first hurdle

ava!! @ahvahhediting.com · 03/09/2026

thats insane 😭 idc how they could possibly be getting work in that case because editors are notoriously underpaid and screwed over LOL

110

ava!! @ahvahhediting.com · 20/06/2026

i suppose if its something crazy highly edited it could be justifiable? i always think its hard to charge that way because different videos call for different amounts of effects/sounds/etc but that does sound like a LOT even if it is like kids roblox content

110

ava!! @ahvahhediting.com · 18/06/2026

what the fuck are kids supposed to do if they cant even chat in MINECRAFT everyone has lost the fucking plot

it’s come to my attention that my tumblr post has been crossposted to bluesky, so I’m posting it on my account here #AntiAI #GenAI

recently my friend's comics professor told her that it's acceptable to use gen AI for script-writing but not for art, since a machine can't generate meaningful artistic work. meanwhile, my sister's screenwriting professor said that they can use gen AI for concept art and visualization, but that it won't be able to generate a script that's any good. and at my job, it seems like each department says that AI can be useful in every field except the one that they know best.

It's only ever the jobs we're unfamiliar with that we assume can be replaced with automation. The more attuned we are with certain processes, crafts, and occupations, the more we realize that gen AI will never be able to provide a suitable replacement. The case for its existence relies on our ignorance of the work and skill required to do everything we don't.

Yesterday, my mother & stepfather lost their farm home & everything in it in a devastating fire. I have set up a GoFundMe to help support them as much as I can. Even if you can't donate, please share this story! Thank you💜 gofund.me/4ef3a74cb
