I would like to know what happened at Mercurysteam between Samus Returns and Dread, because Dread's boss fights are incredible, and Samus Returns has some putrid dogshit in the late game. Did they fire whoever designed that excavator robot fight? Preferably in to the sun?

I really hope Aeris dies in a more spectacular fashion because they really stretched out the Temple of the Ancients in Rebirth, but another part of me hopes it's exactly the same because it would be really fucking funny to do all of this for the same result. Annoying, but funny.

FYI the HUGE number of AI slop at GamesCom's opening night live is not a sign that the industry has normalized AI. It's a ploy to make you believe that. These games are all by the same 3 or 4 publishers. This is a concerted effort to make consumers accept AI.
