I have just been introduced to the concept of rail-based nuclear-tipped ballistic missiles and I feel my reading for tonight is sorted. Agni Prime, #India’s test is pictured here, & I understand #China & #NorthKorea field such weapons, while the US & USSR used to deploy them early in the Cold War.

Google Maps just updated its imagery for northern #Bahrain and god Muharraq has changed so much, new public squares and rebuilt heritage houses. Just cannot wait to visit the streets I grew up around the next time I visit the island kingdom!

I’m just curious, could the Govan Graving Docks have a similar revival to Inchgreen? With 2 x 175m long by 22m wide and 1 x 200m long 25m wide docks, the derelict site could be used to relieve pressure on Scotstoun to fit out the T26s if production is ramped up, just a thought!

I know very little about #F1, but after a chat about the cancelled Grand Prixs in #Bahrain & #SaudiArabia, drew some lines on a map and came up with a street circuit for #Bangalore haha Imagine plenty of space for spectator stands, but we’d have to chop A LOT of trees 💀

Happy to announce that I have procured a Dassault Mirage F1. I love how Dassault puts paper models of all their planes on their website (they weren’t wrong about the 8hr build time!), I wonder if BAE has the same, I’d love a Eurofighter Typhoon 😩

I said this on Twitter and I repeat it here. The response from #Bahrain’s Civil defence has been commendable, in the last 36 hours, half a dozen buildings have been struck by Shahed drones, and ofc the naval base, and fortunately no loss of life has been reported at all.

A before and after of what Shk Isa Grand Mosque looks like today in the old city of Muharraq where I grew up in Bahrain. I like how the place is getting a cultural quarter, with small squares, pedestrianised roads and alleyways. The old mosque had just been torn down when I last visited Bahrain.

I actually like the low level network #Glasgow has, would be better if it was turned into a heavy #metro with increased frequency & integrated ticketing with the #subway. I’m sure I’m not the only one whose thought of this but it would definitely do wonders for the city’s #transit network!
