I'm Gonna Always Love You - The Muppets Take Manhattan

Here's the scene from Muppets take Manhattan. From what I read Muppet Babies premiered two months later youtu.be/npUdoua5JSs?...

I remember seeing Muppets Take Manhattan in theaters. They had a scene where Miss Piggy imagined that she knew Kermit since they were kids. When they announced Muppet Babies on the Saturday Morning Previews I got so excited. Kids don't know what they missed out on.

Wait Wreck it Ralph wasn't Pixar?

I loved that show back in the day

Kubernetes is complicated because you are creating virtualized services and the network that hosts them. With redundancy, resilience, fail over, and stamp out deployment. And that's just considering a single node. Once you start clustering kubernetes nodes things really get tough.

Insisting that his dangerous tech is ready for public trials against the recommendation of the engineers closest to it.

Both realized they had to find a balance and accept their dual identities. For me this journey of growth for Peter as he comes to terms with being the most famous guy in NYC while wanting to live a private life is quintessentially a Spiderman tale. The MCU trappings is icing on the cake.

020

An entire hulk went on a rampage and no Bruce to be found? But I digress. Peter is coming to terms with being both the mask and a regular person. He attacks it from a different angle than in Spiderman 2 with Tobey. That Peter ditched the mask and tried to be normal. This Peter gave up being normal

There is a tight rope marvel must balance while producing these movies providing a story that is categorically about the character while also feeling it occurs within the greater context of the MCU. Captain America was missing that touch yes they have the celestial narrative but show don't tell

Morgan Freeman Says 'Good Luck'

I felt the BND gave us a good snapshot of what Peter's been doing as the multiverse saga has unfolded. Introducing the nontraditional Spidey villain doesn't detract from his story of separating himself from those he loves to protect them. Knowing his track record...

To me, I am a fan of the crossover stories like Age of Apocalypse, The Infinity Gauntlet, Civil War, Secret Wars, and of course what everyone has been drooling to see on the screen Avengers vs X-Men. These crossovers bring the individual titles into a bigger story while focused on the individual

I think I did a bit of injustice to the original piece. It was unkind for me to imply that their opinion came from ignorance of the comics. They were much kinder in their response than I deserved. I understand their view that the individual movies should focus on the individual characters.

221

I respectfully disagree with your point about multiple arcs weaving in the movie. I personally find it refreshing when film creators don't oversimplify the story and are willing to challenge the us with complex tales. BND played the role Civil War and Winter Soldier did. An Avengers point release

I understand your point on narrative focus. It told Spider-Man's individual story well, while fitting into the greater narrative. Focusing on Peter's battle with protecting those he loves the sacrifice he made that no one would understand. But you're right my comment was harsh.

It started with Keith Sweat and Candy Burress and TBoz and Mary They aren't the best singers but they (well minus TBoz) write their own stuff and that makes the difference. Because once KCi and Jojo left Devante, their songs just didn't hit the same. Good music is more than just the voice though.

020

Introduce in secret wars and transition from Peter to Miles.

Look going around bagging up people's lives instead of making sure they had places to live is disgusting villainous behavior.

Michael Brown 🍉 @aguywhocodes.com · 01/08/2026

Let's talk about this. One of my favorite story arcs "Back in Black" dealt with the fallout from Civil War during which Peter unmasked at Tony's recommendation. And that's how the comic stories work especially for major crossover events. So this complaint shows ignorance of the comics.

Can we talk about the upcoming Marvel Midnight universe because this seems like it will be an incredible take on our favorite superheroes reimagined in a horror setting. It's definitely got me hooked just from the previews and description

Cover for Marvels upcoming Midnight Spiderman issue 1. Depicting a spider embedded in Peter Parker's chest with dark veins spreading from its legs.

A three-panel panoramic connecting comic book cover art piece set against a misty, dark urban street environment.

Left panel (Midnight X-Men #1): Features Cyclops firing his red optic blast while crouching, Storm hovering behind him with glowing eyes, and Nightcrawler holding a golden sword in a red-and-white outfit.

Center panel (Midnight Fantastic Four #1): Shows Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing standing dramatically in silhouette against a brilliant flash of purple and white light bursting from behind them.

Right panel (Midnight Spider-Man #1): Features a heavily muscular Spider-Man wearing a red face mask, shoulder wrap, and fingerless gloves, lunging forward off a stone ledge.

We keep comparing the US to Nazi but in reality they got it from this country. It's just more people realize it because it's not just Black people being affected by the regime. None of this is new to us.

Juneteenth Conference 2026 — Building Our Own Table

Juneteenth Conference returns to Chicago, June 19-20, 2026. Two days of curated sessions across engineering, data, security, entrepreneurship, and tech leadership. Building Our Own Table.

I lost to time but getting a brilliant move in a one minute game definitely makes you puff with pride.

I grew up on the south side of Chicago so Riri's character definitely resonates with me. The picture was drawn by my daughter as a Christmas present.

My family is from Louisiana so back in the 90s I was all about the Ragin Cajun, Remy LeBeau aka Gambit. His arc in X-Men '97 was beautiful if tragic. And had echoes of Age of Apocalypse where Magneto and Rogue were married and had a child (named Charles of course). Now it's Riri Williams

Full-length comic book illustration of the Marvel character Gambit against a solid black background. He is a tall, athletic man with messy, spiked auburn hair and a confident expression. He wears his signature costume: a long, flowing brown trench coat over a bright pink, ribbed torso armor piece with a blue collar and belt trim. His lower body features black pants and tall, metallic blue armored boots that extend past his knees. He is also wearing fingerless black gloves and has his hands loosely clenched.

A hand-drawn pencil illustration of Riri Williams (Ironheart), drawn as a personal interpretation of the iconic Invincible Iron Man #1 comic book cover. The character is shown from the thigh up, looking down with a focused expression at an armored helmet she cradles in both hands. She features distinct, natural curly hair and wears a jacket and pants rendered with detailed cross-hatch shading. A vibrant yellow marker outline traces her figure. At the top left, the word "IRON" is outlined in pencil, while the word "HEART" is boldly written across the bottom in metallic gold marker. Simple gold stars are scattered across the white background

Like she performed a song. End with the band playing while she did a wardrobe change and entered for the next . Like at least a three hour set.

Oh yes. Also I'm hoping Sade does another tour! Because the Soldier of Love tour was PLUSH.

100

Magneto hands down. Of course he's more aligned with the X-Men instead of against them lately but that dynamic between him and Charles is perfection. In age of apocalypse it was an alternate timeline where Charles was killed and Magneto formed the X-Men naming them as tribute to his fallen friend

100

Good Lord you're not making it easy. So many incredible characters. But I have to go with Riri Williams. Child prodigy from Chicago. Eve Ewing tapped into something special I meant to mention her in the second answer. Loved the TV series too.

100

So hard to pick. I loved the Avengers before they became a household name. But my favorite is Ta Nahesi Coates run for Black Panther. Also Gail Simone is doing amazing work with her Run of Uncanny XMen. From the opening issue she tapped into a very emotional story.
