All good, AI is such a huge discussion point at the moment I'm not surprised it's being used for clickbait. Makes parsing actual news so much more difficult ><

I've seen how Microsoft uses it, and it was to cut hours from testers sadly

Thank you for validating me my QA sibling! May all your bugs have no more than 3 steps to reproduce 🫶

The "stupid repetitive parts" are like a fraction of the job. We dont run into walls or try to jump off cliffs for 8 hours a day 😂 And training the machine to run into walls takes longer than a person just doing it themselves

Cetra (she/they) 🔻🌀🔦☕️ @agrumpywitch.bsky.social · 14h

We can have automation to "run into walls", sure. Thats like, a percentage of what we do. Microsoft just shut down the US and UK certification programmes because profit > quality. Don't give these companies even more reasons to fire people :(

If you're replacing a person with AI, then yes, its bad Please dont throw QA under the AI bus. We deserve fulfilling careers. We can be good at our jobs. We're the 1st ppl to be blamed when you see a bug on live but I guarantee you QA found it and some guy decided it wasn't bad enough to fix

Cetra (she/they) 🔻🌀🔦☕️ @agrumpywitch.bsky.social · 14h

Theres far more to QA than that. There are standards that games must meet to be compliant, things that require context and nuance that only a human can parse into a pass or fail. Please dont throw QA under the AI bus because its "boring" 😭 We do not spend 8 hours a day running into walls I swear

There's been a plugin I've always thought about making but never actually sat down to make... until now. Find the cheapest teleport route available to you and take it. Save small amounts of gil! in my plugin repo (plugins.anna.lgbt)

[CT] Detected Wachunpelo for "wachun".
[CT] 70 gil: Tuliyollal → Arch of the Dawn (Urqopacha) → Wachunpelo (direct: 1,008 gil, saved: 938 gil)

Do you think we're going to nom any more Azem shards in Evercold? If so, should I change Cetra's original green eye colour to that character's eye colour, or does Ardbert's blue get overwritten? 😂👁️👁️ #aura #gpose

Silent Hill good so far, but it takes too long to save (it was cute the first couple of times, now its annoying) and this really could have been a pure puzzle game without the combat and it would still be good, if not better

the RE movie protag is a certified goofball

Resident Evil movie comic
Bryan laughs constantly he lifts up a ladder and chucks it
It hits a zombie dog and he says “stupid dog”
Then he runs away continuing his laughing
He appears out the upper door of a barn, looks down to the far ground, realizing his mistake

It was too resident evil for a horror film and not resident evil enough for a resident evil film xD I did like the little nods and the humour though!

I DO think these explicit information dumps should be in the game for accessibility. BUT. I should be able to toggle them at will. Someone new to gaming may not know where to go without Yellow Paint. But I do. I'm an old lady. I'm an ancient eldritch gamer. Do not quote the ancient texts etc
