Cancellations are just part of the job, and I certainly don’t begrudge people cancelling, everyone has to prioritize how they’re spending. A weird quirk of listener support is that it doesn’t happen symmetrically across the year. We got our first rash of sign ups when the show was announced and then again when it officially launched. And on those days we also see big cancellations—people who have decided not to renew memberships.
