I thought I had been to South Hill Mall before but apparently not, this place is amazing. Also here's a shot of Round 1. I guess it decided to be foggy when I wanted to go in during the Persona anniversary event

Do the people who leave positive reviews for games like this even test the VR mode? Its jank as fuck and I cant even get past the menu screen. Doesnt seem to work with the Index controllers either. Also who puts Switch and VR controllers in the same category

Was reminded of this again, but never want to take opinions of those who determine age of fictional characters by looks alone seriously because if you showed them Kiryu/Majima for example, if they didnt know Yakuza 0, theyd probably claim they were middle-aged men, when theyre actually 20/24

More SMTVV relics. Powder Box! What do you think it is? (let's talk about it) #shinmegamitensei #smtv #smtvv #nahobino

AgentRedJackal @agentredjackal.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

SMTVVVR is not for the faint of heart (due to the game's visual fx and camera jumping), but it was a cool experience seeing the world with a VR view #shinmegamitensei #uevr #smtv

I was testing SMTVV in VR via UEVR and when Aogami arrived I got a face full of his crotch and butt😂 #shinmegamitensei #uevr #smtv

SMTV NOOOO Atleast its not Nahobino...(monkey paw curls) I mean, atleast the soulless face of the Funkos fit Jack Frost...

AgentRedJackal @agentredjackal.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Well, I guess I gotta try and stream Vengeance for Nahobeeho atleast. I know I was gifted Metaphor, but I dont want to get myself into a situation where Im stuck streaming it vs playing it on my own. So I'll look and see if VR SMTVV is possible or something

I like reading Nishitani's comments on how he came up with Megami Tensei. The combined idea of demons, early technology, evil ai and possession via computers was one that popped up in many western scifi horror films as well.

Me presenting this to my friends going "nuh uh" way back when I was like: "Surely there's crossover between Souls fans and SMT fans" Yeah what now 🤭 (I couldve sworn you could complete V in 60 or less hours btw)

AgentRedJackal @agentredjackal.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

There's a ton of western movie influences in 3, but it also reminds me of the detail Kaneko revealed not too long ago about the Demifiend's hair being inspired by Zeke from The Faculty

AgentRedJackal @agentredjackal.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

I was reminded of the SMT3 video done by DYKG, and I mustve forgotten about the detail of the uncanniness of the Manikins in 3 being a bit inspired by the ape men from the Planet of the Apes movie

Im sure this has been brought up before but when I see the Riker fish picture from Star Trek TNG I keep thinking of the image of Chris Redfield from Code Veronica's battle game

AgentRedJackal @agentredjackal.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

Also, one would think, well Soong in TNG was capable of creating androids like this in the far future, what about Dr. Nitta? Im still of the theory (if we consider Devil Summoner timeline shenanigans) that research on a certain time traveling android got into the hands of someone Nitta studied under

030

AgentRedJackal @agentredjackal.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

Every time Star Trek TNG comes up, Im reminded of Data's human-like capabilities and wonder (aside from Terminator) if SMTV devs took inspiration from ST for Protofiends, since Data is a very humanoid synth. Dr. Nitta seems Soong-like and Aogami's philosophical musings reminded me of Data

AgentRedJackal @agentredjackal.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

SMT devs please dont ever ever put Italian Brainrot in your future games as catchable monsters, PNW's Jimothy and BigFoot is a far better choice. And if you put Jimothy in, make him have a race with Turbo Grandma

1100

AgentRedJackal @agentredjackal.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Me: "The great thing about SMT is that it pulls from real world mythology, cryptids, paranormal phenomenon...that means any modern legends could become monsters in future games..." Kaneko:
