Im also considering retiring the VRC group as well. I do have a separate event VRC group Ive used for dances before, so for the once in a while event, I'll have people use that. Due to health issues and being worn out mentally, I cant continue to manage big groups or mediate issues between others.

Havent mentioned it here, but I retired the discord I created for streaming purposes. Originally it was for people to join, in relation to stream, group event stuff and had a good 5 years. It grew a lot and I appreciated most of the people that joined but I just couldnt keep up anymore.

Im working on the SMTVV VR video. I play up to the first boss fight and then the demon haunt, but I have footage from like 3 sessions I have to put together because of discovering new adjustments in UEVR for playing it.

People joking about Seattle whenever someone plays a Cyberpunk game with more of a Noir atmosphere makes me chuckle. Thing is, Tacoma is not much different, just on a smaller scale. We have our problems, but also the scene here is like rain + coffee/tea + jazz + art + a love for weirdness.

Had a pretty thorough doctor's visit today and the main thing is trying to consolidate care related to gender + adrenal levels and pinpoint what's leading to my fatigue issues. The problem with seeing different specialist clinics is communication and primary is trying to piece it together

I was finally released from Facebook jail and able to nuke my account. If you dont use FB for a long time, it flags you and the devices you use, keeps you from being able to change your password or delete the profile, so youre forced to use it for a few weeks before youre free.

When other less well intentioned viewers see that, they might go "oh, this is how I can get senpai to notice me, by being awful on socials". Were it me, if a viewer talked poorly of me or what I do and then got extremely parasocial and nice if I responded, I would want them as far away as possible.

There's a certain type of streamer/viewer interaction where the viewer is an awful person, but when they bait the streamer to respond to them, they completely turn around and act like the nicest, biggest fan. Personally I dont think these people should be awarded the attention.

I also think...not sure if it happens to everyone (although Ive certainly seen this in other people that have experienced it), it can cause you to think about the world and people in a more existential way. Hard to describe, but it feels like having your mind in clouds more than the ground.

I think a side effect of that unfortunately, is always having that fear of the rug being pulled on you or anyone you care about too soon and how that ripples outward. And being well aware of just how poorly we're educated on the whole process and handling of such matters.

End of September is sometimes a difficult time for me, since one of my parents passed during covid. It wasnt the only family death and I had a couple after that, but it was the most impactful. Experiencing multiple deaths changes you and also opens the door to seeing the true nature of others

I guess one thing SMT has over Digimon (as much as I love Digimon) is atleast the Japanese god of the moon (Tsukuyomi) gets more love. Digimon had a Susanoo monster a long time ago, added Amaterasu in the past year(?), and I think people were hoping for Tsukuyomi but it hasnt happened yet.

To be fair, SMT doesnt get as much merch as Persona, so its weird feeling to see an SMTV labeled Funko. Then again, Jack Frost is an Atlus mascot, so it doesnt mean its SMTV-specific. It's just that particular version of Jack appears in V.

I think between SMTV and JJBA Part 9, it proves you can have a feminine presenting male character in a leading position in a series thats become more well known. SMTV also has a Yin/Yang feel with the main character and his fusion partner, Aogami.

I think the entire cast of Part 9 is amazing so far, but once again, like with other JJBA parts, someone who is kind of like a secondary to the main JoJo, feels like the actual protagonist. But with the siblings, its more of a Yin/Yang situation, they both have a different vibe that works together

I'll admit Im not a fan of that setting personally, and I wasnt fond of my years in the American school system but I can understand why JP games tend to make use of it. I think here we tend to have more games in a college setting, but its viewed as a time of freedom between HS and working adult life

I think people who question why a number of Japanese games have school settings dont understand the cultural difference between how school years are viewed there vs how we view them here. A number of those games are catered towards working Japanese adults seeking escapism and nostlagia.
