Giving it more thought than it probably deserves. I think if the reason for Rule 63ing a character is because you think the IP owner would absolutely hate it, then I don't think I want to see you Rule 63 any character. It's gotta be out of love for the character and their creator. Simple as.

Despite it being the stereotypical landmark of classrooms, I don't think I have in my entire life attended a class that used a blackboard. It's all been whiteboards and dry erase for as far back as I can remember. And now I'm noticing shows and comics set in present day still use blackboards...

And by all means, I support the new terminology. With AI there's that (VERY intentional) muddying of the waters where you have to figure out which one they're talking about, at least with SI you know instantly they're talking about the digital asbestos and can instantly nuke them.
