Dun Dornagail iron age broch in the northern Highlands of Scotland, where I am originally from. It's a double walled semi conical structure, they lived in the middle during day and slept between the walls. It was once around 10m high (30ft) with only one door which was sealed with a huge boulder.

One of my favourite views here on the Greek island of Rhodes. It's the gulf of Trianda. During the Ottoman invasion of this island around 500 years ago there were 300 ships in this bay.

It's been 10 years since the UK voted to leave the EU with a very slim majority. As a country the UK is now £140bn per annum down, exports and investment is down, GDP is down by around 8%, British citizens have lost their freedom of movement, yet there are still advocates for this utter stupidity.

So, it's 41 years ago today we had "live aid". What many people don't know is there were hundreds of mini live-aid concerts that day all over the UK to raise money, including the one my terrible band played at in the northern Highlands of Scotland. We all paused to watch Queen play. What a day.
