Turn on the sound — this is how nearly every night sounds for me and my family. Imagine getting used to that, living, working, raising kids. A lesson the world didn’t learn from WW2: when you tolerate and appease evil, it grows stronger, and you won’t notice until it reaches your home.

Just voice, guitar, birdsong, and rustling leaves. The first video in a new series where I'm playing my songs live in their rawest form, stripped down & outdoors. This is “Hurricane”, recorded alone in a forest — the song's meaning blending seamlessly with the sounds of nature 🎵 youtu.be/Mcor1u_FX_0

🎵 2 weeks ago, me and my band Obiymy Doschu have released “Vidrada”, our new album, passionately crafted in Kyiv for 7 years. I've never been more invested in a project, and will be proud of it for the rest of my life. All my love, dreams, hopes and worries in one record. ⬇️

50 minutes of music blending melodic progressive rock, cinematic live strings, jazz, classical, pop, post-rock, and a touch of melancholy. Even if you don't know Ukrainian, you will feel the emotion. Listen on all platforms ❤️ rain.in.ua/go/vidrada-en

So I want to dedicate this song, “After the War”, to every Ukrainian who's far from home and longing for the moment they can return. It's the concluding single before the full album is out on May 30. Watch the full video here (it has English subtitles): youtu.be/RqmqA4fM8XA

When writing the song, I wondered — would I see my home again? And would it remain the way I remembered it? Millions of Ukrainians were experiencing the same emotions at that moment: soldiers on the front line, families with young children forced to flee into the unknown. ⬇️

The music video, filmed in a dormitory in Irpin that was devastated during the Russian occupation of part of the Kyiv region, blends seamlessly with touching illustrations by a Mykolaiv-based artist, symbolizing rebuilding and renewal. ⬇️

Friends, let me share one more music video with you. ❤️ This one is very personal — I wrote this song, called “After the War”, in March 2022, capturing a dream familiar to every Ukrainian: the longing for peaceful life filled with everyday routines and small joys, and a deep yearning for home. 🇺🇦⬇️

One more music bit I want to share: a live video from a recent acoustic performance in Kyiv, with a song about not giving up — feels especially relevant that's it out today, after yet another mass missile strike on Ukrainian civilians. youtu.be/0oMRsFizTTg

Tonight was loud — terrorist Russia attacked Kyiv with 35 explosive drones (all 35 shot down), but those cowardly attacks only motivate me to live a better, more fulfilling life here. Get fucked, losers! Here’s my best ever batch of sourdough baguettes fresh off the oven 😊
