If I just look at the Bundesliga, where I'm managing, this doesn't look to be as bad, but I'd have to check how much I'm skewing this with my squad and players I've loaned out to other Bundesliga sides who have played more than the prerequisite minutes. It does at least look more reasonable.

If you then look at the breakdown of the summed minutes by player ages across all teams, again, the picture demonstrates that #FM26 allows squads to age without replacing them. The label above each column is the frequency of players of that age who have played a minimum of 1,000 minutes.

I've been doing some more research into this. Here's the weighted squad age of all teams in the top five leagues across a full season ('51-52). Now some isolated teams look fine, but for so many to have an average squad age weighted by minutes in the 30s+ is nuts.

My wife, who is easily bored by scoreless draws, wanted to come up with a different method of points allocation in football. Here's her rules and the outcome for the PL this season: Loss = 0 pts 0-0 = 1 pt each Score draws = 2 pts each Wins by 1-2 goals = 3 pts Wins by 3 goals or more = 4 pts
