Every now and then I dream about life if we kept the 2 Petes. Then I wake up to Gary saying we need to sweep in Washington to not finish in last. #MetsSky

Need to cut ties with Vientos. Alvy is running out of time to be consistent, turning 25, came up at 20. Baty needs to stay in the lineup to be consistent at the plate. And not in literally 5 of the 9 positions on every given day. Give him 2nd and 1 more year to show what he can so #MetsSky

As for making it make sense doesnt seem to matter, you have your opinion and I have mine.

Who said some aren't. 41 is ridiculous

100

He was offered 7 in 2021. He was given an obvious opt out in his last contract. He was not given any offer last year. Boston offered 4 and Baltimore 5, that we know of

Why wouldn't he say he was happy to be in a place that wanted him? Stearns completely disrespected him. 41 hrs & 110 rbis this year (and counting) showed he deserved respect. And before you come back with, yeah but what about years 4 and 5. Who knows. But the contracts #Mets did give were 💩 #MetsSky

Good. Now the front office needs to let him do his job and not interfere.

My concern is we can't assume Soto can play 1st.

As we come to the end of the @mets.com 2026 season, with labor questions about 2027 but excitement about some of our new guys, I cant stop coming back to one of the main things we need is a dependable, 1st baseman with power. And then I get pissed all over again. #MetsSky

I cried like a baby. All of a sudden I was in my dad's station wagon, rushing home cause mom told us what time dinner would be ready and we took longer to get to the car behind the chop shops outside Shea. Now that last piece of a core memory is saying goodbye. May he have a long, happy retirement.

Latest is the CT Scan is negative. Concussion, of course, but saying he is moving and looks like Young may have avoided anything serious. THANK GOD! #METSSKY

Very! Didn't secure neck before turning him, jostled him around, and then looked like the stretcher was gonna drop. Scary enough hit, but added pressure isn't good

Agree!! Plus add any physical disability and taking a train is a nightmare.

AFitz @afitz00.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

Couldn't agree more. I just see a turn in some of Sandy's opinions on when to know you don't move a guy. And yep, the Show would screw the boy blunder up cause you need to know a little about the sport to play. Not sure he does the way he moves player positions like they are in a Wii game.

AFitz @afitz00.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

Is that the boy blunder stearns?

The message is being missed. Its the same message we sent when Piazza and Seaver returned. Cohen should have known it. Some players keep a fanbase coming more to see a team that has only won 2 times. They give us hope and excitement. Even Alderson now understands that to be true.

030

You were saying... the Alvy project has been kicking us in the butt.

I think its for Alonso and against the moves made by mgmt. I don't think it has a thing to do with the current players for the most part. Maybe that we have them, but not them. As Lindor and Green said, it should teach other players what happens when you give this fanbase your all. We give it back

020

Raise your hand if you think Torrens should have been catching. #MetsSky

Gotta wonder what lindor was saying. All Pete kept saying was OMG

110

Completely agree. I blocked more people the past two days. Arrogant know it alls who dont allow any other opinion. I have no patience for that anymore

160

Yep. Sadly this kid looks 14 so I know many of us know not to rattle him. He pitched great. Though I will admit probably everyone of us there wanted a Pete dinger so hit #300 at the park he should still call home.

There wasnt a lot. I was there. The chants were loud, the applause for Pete was loud and though I felt bad for Baty (who has been treated so poorly by this org) his error definitely received a bigger response. Pointing out what Pete still there meant with power and a steady, everyday first baseman

120

It was such a fun place for a good game or concert. But you were never sure if today was the day it collapsed.

000

At both. When Seaver took the mound and batted was electric. Last night was as loud as Citi gets. Shea was great for crowd sound in its design. And stomping your feet made more noise. Like the building was gonna collapse. Lol But yesterday wasnt just emotion, it was about a bad baseball decision.
