Poor granddaughter. Her 1st birthday last Friday but she'd been poorly for a good few days. Taken to the GP but nothing specific noted. Couple of tests done. Called back in today. Severe ear and throat infection. 'biotics for 5 days. Poor wee lassie. Her Dad only ate antibiotics for his 1st 3 yrs!😟

The Cola Ham aka Gammon with a sweet paprika, cloves and chilli jam coating that we had last night was yummy yum yum. Plenty of leftovers so tonight it's cold thick slices of gammon, chips and fried eggs. We normally only eat chippies on a Friday night so we are spoiling ourselves tonight! #oaps 🍷

No.3 son who has lived in The Netherlands since 2019 on a 5 year student visa with a couple of extensions has today finally got his 10 year residency visa. Whoop whoop. He's as pleased as punch. 😊

Very chilled pizza lunch for a few hours in the back paddock. Sunny & warm. Huge buzzard flew over at hedge height. Not something we'd seen before, they are normally way up on the thermals. So coffee & "Gentlemen, start your engines now!"

Didn't get to sleep until around 1am after Mrs. M's London jaunt followed by a 6.45am alarm so we could scoot off to scoop up grandson at 8am. He left at 3.30pm. Feeling slightly sub optimal now. Might need a pick-me-up-snifter soon! Happy weekend you'll!! 🍷

Mrs. M is obsessed by the fact that the taxi driver who picked her up at Charing Cross Station last night about 6.30pm and dumped her on Park Lane for her bash/jolly was also the same driver she hailed on Park Lane at 10.45pm. She keeps saying "What are the odds?"...🤷

The Adelaide Advertiser Building. I worked in it once. Just once, for one day. Thought I was going to be a "hack". I spent 8 hours cleaning and refilling glue pots. I didn't go back for Day 2 or any other days! Circa 1971 I think it was. This snap is circa 1960 though.
