Very physically expressive, with a fair bit of auditory expression mixed in. Xaia is mute to the point that the most complicated sounds they can make are the whistles and chirps of Huntspeak. They also purr and squeak. But most of their expression comes from physical motions. > #XaiaLore

Yes! I run with a little group that does RP nights several times a week. It's the highlight of my day and they're all wonderful people. Most of the lore I have for Xaia is stuff I came up with simply because another character asked them a question.

I've had to answer this a lot in my RP group C'xaiake Kuna - Kah-shy-ah-kay Coo-nah Although since moving to Eorzea, they've grown oddly fond of the mispronunciation of Xaiake (Sigh-ah-kay). They don't correct people anymore. #XaiaLore

My group and I are pretty firm with the "IC ≠ OOC" 1) Conflict between characters is fine, one of mine (Zehlvi) is known for being a bitch that hates 90% of people. But I'm very clear that him hating someone does not mean I hate anyone OOC 2) If we don't like someone OOC, we just don't interact. >

Ooo this is a fun one. Xaia's soul is weird, it's hollow. It would appear to be a white, crackling flame with a dark spot in the middle where the core is empty. As a kitsune, the core of Xaia's soul is in a gem (these are usually called star balls) that's in a pendant. > #XaiaLore

Xaia doesn't know what their birth parents look like, but they don't look much like their adopted parents or siblings. It's been hilarious lately with them introducing people to their "twin" brother who's a Miqo'te, while they're a Viera. But no one wants to point out the issue. #XaiaLore

How to filter out AI Images in Google Image Search. Sharing this with my students so I figured I'd also share it with everyone here. Hopefully this image is still relevant given Google's changes. Save this on your computer or phone and refer to it as needed.

HOW TO FILTER OUT AI IMAGES IN GOOGLE IMAGES

When you type something add the following minus keywords: -ai, -prompt

Since AI movement increased highly in 2022, use "before:" like before:2021 (VERY effective)

The following keywords will affect and should decrease amounts of AI imagery appearing on your search.

Yes! I write with an RP group (there's a good 15 or so of us) that follows along with the MSQ but doesn't directly involve it. The Scions and the WoL are a whole other thing we don't touch. Xaia has already had a mini-arc for joining this group, and helped another character with his. > #XaiaLore

Physical touch over everything else. Words are hard. Both Xaia and I would prefer to greet friends by hugging or giving them a lovely cat-style head bunt rather than talk. We'll both also murder if spoken to in the morning pre-drink (coffee for me, tea for Xaia). #XaiaLore

*Taps the kitsune folklore* This. As a strange Spoken/kitsune mix, Xaia gets thrown in with some of the stories sometimes. And they're trying so, so hard to prove they're not that. But it's a very tough uphill struggle when they don't know anyone else like them. #XaiaLore

Xaia has their own clan marks! My lore with their tribe is that the clan marks reflect their role in the tribe and Xaia is an alchemist, so their marks are flowery vines. Their siblings all have tiger stripes, given to hunters. All clan marks are white since they live in the snow. #XaiaLore

Xaia's most common outfit right now is their Tural gear. It's a mix of commissioned stuff from their contacts in Ul'dah and some of their own additions. It shows a lot more skin than their usual styles, but being from the mountains, Xaia isn't exactly used to the Turali heat. > #XaiaLore

Xaia ended up learning a whole lot of lessons about themselves. With romantic, they've learnt that their "please everybody" attitude doesn't work in arguments, and hiding away doesn't solve anything. Platonic, they've learnt how capable they can be, and the right friends will help that. #XaiaLore

Xaia is poly and pansexual. Demi should also probably be a part of that because they rely so heavily on having an emotional connection. Right now, they have one partner who they absolutely adore, and it was very much a sudden "lean in and kiss" when they realised they loved him. #XaiaLore

Xaia can't remember their name from before they were adopted, but they were named C'xaiake Kuna after they were adopted into the Coeurl tribe under the assumption they would be female like most Viera (spoiler, they're not). But they love their name > #XaiaLore

Fun Fact No.1 #XaiaLore Xaia is a member of the Coeurl tribe, despite being a Viera. They were adopted from the age of 7 and have 5 siblings; 1 older and 4 younger.
