A reminder that in the face of society's opposition where imperfect beings are easily discarded, Hermes stood his ground and declared that disabled lives matter and are worth protecting #HermesXIV #FFXIV #AerXIV #Disability

The first screenshot is dialogue from the Troubled Observer that states, "but if I may say so, rather than hoping an idealistic possibility comes to pass, would it not be simpler to have the concept adjusted? That way, we could guarantee that anomalies such as this specimen are never born in the first place."

The second screenshot is dialogue from Hermes who is replying directly to the Troubled Observer's suggestion. He is speaking about creatures who are unable to function as they were intended, such as the charybdis being unable to fly. Hermes states, "these creatures are already here. We will spare no effort in giving them a chance to survive."

Please support disabled people this month bc it’s Disability Pride, but also support us outside this month too It means a lot to us bc we commonly put in significantly more effort than abled people & often have to sacrifice health & limited spoons to do what we do bc everything’s working against us

If I miscalculate or overextend myself it will impact the next days too, often unable to do anything bc I’ll need rest instead. These things that I push back aren’t ‘nice to have’ things — a majority of them are important daily task ableds do w/o much effort. It’s an uphill battle for us every day

Disabled people rely on online spaces bc they’re too sick to go out to socialize. However as of the past year now I can’t even BE in these spaces bc I very often don’t have spoons left to type/talk. My spoons all go to my job. Thus I’m left out of social spaces
