Just had a trouble ticket at work get updated asking for more information. The good news is that the issue is no longer there. The bad news is the ticket was opened 11 months ago. Super glad we outsourced our tech support and IT team.

Really wish pizza places would stop packing cold sauces with hot food. What am I supposed to do with this warm sour cream??

It isn't fear mongering if it's true. #iran

Just so fucking cavalier. Deplorable still fits him & his ilk. 3 US service members were killed in action during the joint attack on Iran... "Sadly, there will likely be more before it ends," President Trump said Sunday afternoon in a video message, per the New York Times. "That's the way it is."

The "survey"? Literally this one question you see here. That's it. No follow-up question, no nuances you can add to your response. I sent an email that said I agreed COL is a concern, but it's because of people like him & the Trump administration. And next time send a real survey or nothing at all.

Email from Sen. Jon Husted (R from OH) saying the following:

Dear friends and neighbors, since I took the oath of office to serve as your US Senator on Jan 21 2025, I've been hard at work for YOU. In less than a year, the president signed 3 of my bills into law to help make life easier and more affordable for you and your family. I remain focused on solving real-life problems for Ohioans. I want to hear from you.

It then asks "is the cost of living a concern to you and your family" with yes or no as the responses.

Happy 5th anniversary to the Jan6 Insurrection! Glad we took care of the problems that came of it, absolutely no fallout to be seen.

I'll be succinct: supporting regime change by illegally attacking foreign leaders is simply disgusting. I hope someone runs against you in the next primary.

Ugh, we just went through a massive layoff last week, I'm still OK, and have survived multiple rounds over the years. It never gets easy 😭

Survivor's guilt is terrible, and I am so worried for those impacted. Still learning who is impacted, since right now all I have is a list of those who survived within my org. 13k, which is about 13% will be laid off today and the coming days and weeks. Thinking of those impacted. #verizonlayoffs

For the past several days and weeks, rumors have swirled about massive layoffs coming. Eventually we found out the date: this morning, 11/20. Thankfully, I have survived for another day, but our org was hit massively. It won't be the same going forward. #verizonlayoffs

I always struggle to feel bad when someone who spent their life seething with hatred towards so many others, including people like me. I will not be nice merely because they are no longer with the living. At best, I feel bad for those in their orbit who are dealing with the aftermath.

apnews.com/article/jame... James Dobson, Focus on the Family founder and key leader on the Christian right, dies at 89 Good riddance to bad rubbish. I cannot feel sorry for someone who brought such incalculable pain to too many people while he lived. If Hell was real, he'd be there now.

I know the common adage was "Republicans say there is no good government, and when elected they prove it", but they're really jacking it up to 11. I get there's a chance to counter next year, but... I'm not sure we'll make it, or in what shape. I'm not giving up, yet. It's just a lot going on rn.

I end all this to say, fuck Alzheimer's for robbing people of their memories, and fuck those who aren't doing more to help those afflicted. Particularly looking at those in Washington, DC, who will likely succeed in cutting health services for way too many American.

The last Thanksgiving she was around, I was tasked with driving her from the speciality unit she was staying at to my aunt's house. It was the same 5ish minutes long conversation, on repeat, for a 30m drive. I told them I couldn't handle that again. That's not the person I grew up with.

Brett @aerix2000.com · 01/07/2025

A conversation in Discord led me to think about my grandma, who passed away (several years ago at this point) while affected by Alzheimer's. It's such a rough life, not just for them, but for those around them. She'd call me her brother (not so bad) but would also forget who my mom was.
