You actually made me find the perfect example of that differentiation! (Kinda) Dragon Quest III for example, has the Goof-offs class, and the female design happens to be VERY sexualized, which isn't a big deal, as they're joke class, so it's fitting that she doesn't dress like an adventurer.

And that last point also applies to animation. You can't possibly translate a Zelda game's plot into a movie perfectly in general and I dare to say this applies to both animation and Live Action similarly.
