You talking about photorealism? I generally agree if it fits the tone of what you're going for. Naughty Dog and Rockstar do it very well. Not every studio, hell MOST studios, should be attempting it though. It doesn't make every AAA game better at all.

I do think at this point we need a firmer distinction between the fans of something and the former fans of something that still are obsessed with constantly talking about how much they hate that thing and its creator to the point of harassment. That said, actual Hazbin fans are way more chill.

I would generally agree with the bugs part but not the open world part. I'd put more blame on Ubisoft in that direction, at least Bethesda usually (because you have to factor in Starfield) does open worlds extremely right. Among the best in the business imo.

I care about a game being replayable because I've always replayed the games I own over and over. That doesn't mean it needs high variance or roguelike mechanics though, it just needs to be good enough for me to want to replay it. Hell, I replay story games if the story itself is good.

The Free Lanes update is looking pretty close to how I wanted the base game to be when it came out so this is very promising. Not quite sure what they're tweaking for the existing POIs yet but I think it'd be better to give each one multiple variants so it's not the exact same each time.

I wouldn't say I'm massively into phones or anything but I sketched this out of frustration bc why are there no modern phones with these features, it would be so perfect and I'm mad the only ones are old and slow

Oh my god, yes! Especially when they ported their games like a year or so after release. At least Ghost of Tsushima took at least four. You know how people are going crazy about the PS3 Metal Gear Solid games getting ported to PC. Learn from that. Make it an event.

Like, if they focused their efforts on porting the original God of War trilogy or the first Ratchet and Clank games it’d be fine. No one is buying a PS5 for those, they’re buying them for games that require more powerful hardware and a 4K Blu-Ray player.

Not one or two specific games, sure, but if all of their single-player games are going to be exclusive again than it’s going to be more than just one or two. Tbh the problem with Sony’s PC porting was never that they ported their games to PC, it’s that they chose to port their newer games.

Their IPs are very underutilized, I'm upset that the only way to get the full LittleBigPlanet experience is through fans servers because Sony shut down the servers and delisted every game in the series on their digital storefronts. But I see this joke every time a PS game gets a PC port.

I don't really buy many DVDs nowadays but I absolutely still go for CDs and Blu-Ray. It's almost never the first way I experience music or movies but if I like something and it's on one of these, I'm going to try to get it and once I have it I'm not experiencing it any other way.

I'm genuinely really sad on what GameStop has been reduced to because they're one of the last retail chain stores in the US that sell physical games and their CEO is a Trump bootlicker who's shutting down stores to give himself an even bigger paycheck. It's been like this since at least 2020 or so.

I don't. There was a period of time in my senior year of high school where my depression got REALLY bad and I couldn't feel anything. It was honestly amazing eventually getting to feel something after months of not being able to. I really do think it's a fundamental part of being human.
