just to clarify, I think you are mixing some stuff up here. face scanning is local on device, and ids scanned through the app are processed and deleted. the breach was of the old system created long before the in-app age verification, for users who got banned for <13 and had to make a support ticket

Slash Command Improvements and Mobile Fixes
Hi everyone, thanks for all your feedback on slash commands!

We've shipped a set of small improvements to slash commands based on what you asked for:
String options now support multiline input
Command autocomplete now has fuzzy search, so you can skip letters or type /r a to find /role add
When you switch channels and come back, the input now remembers which command you had selected

We've also fixed bugs in the command experience on mobile:
Fixed typing space while typing subcommands making the command picker disappear
Fixed typing space to select a command sometimes selecting the wrong command
Fixed slash command user options sometimes failing to find the user
Fixed some minor UI issues in the app launcher

Instruction following. Opus 4.7 is substantially better at following instructions. Interestingly, this means that prompts written for earlier models can sometimes now produce unexpected results: where previous models interpreted instructions loosely or skipped parts entirely, Opus 4.7 takes the instructions literally. Users should re-tune their prompts and harnesses accordingly.

I've revamped context menu commands on Discord! commands are now organized by app, your frequently used commands are at the top, and a new search bar helps you quickly find commands. with this update, I also increased the command limit from 5 to 15!

I've added more components to bot modals on Discord! you can now use radio buttons and checkboxes for cleaner UI.

I've added a new component to modals: file uploads! your bot can now finally ask users to upload files right in a modal, along with other components, streamlining upload flows. a file upload component can accept only one file or multiple (up to 10), and supports all file types.

yesterday, I released our second set of new modal components: text displays (with markdown!), user selects, role selects, mentionable selects, and channel selects! now you can use even more components previously restricted to messages to create powerful modals.

A "Jail" bot modal, with a text display saying "This action will move the selected user to the selected voice channel and take away all their permissions for 1 hour.", a user select menu, and a voice channel select menu.

I've been working on modal components all summer, and I'm really excited to release the first piece of this: string select and label components in modals! You can finally put select menus in your bot's modals, and give more information with field descriptions!

the Discord desktop UI refresh is out! the updated UI is more customizable, has new darker themes, and lets you resize the channel list. I've been using it for months, and it feels much nicer than the old UI once you get used to it.
