My new retro anime short is out now. If you like 1980s anime and dinosaurs, I think you'll enjoy it. #dinosaurs #anime #retro #animation #analog

I found a McFarlane Halo 5 Master Chief figure at a thrift shop for about $2. He needed a weapon, so I quickly printed and weathered one. #halo

We had some trouble getting it here (thanks for nothing, South African Post Office), but I just got my copy of Project: Tepui from @dragonsofwales.bsky.social, and it's pretty great.

A bit of dinosaur horror I whipped up. It flopped everywhere else I posted it, but that's the algorithm for you. #thedinosaurs #blender3d #weirdbirds

I decided to model the Flood infection form based on the design from Neill Blomkamp's unmade Halo movie. It's different from the game version, but in a good way, I feel.

I haven't done an 80s anime styled character in Blender for a while, so I decided to start a new one. I've done a few things differently from before, and tried out the Stylized Hair Pro addon for the first time, which I highly recommend. #Blender #AnimeArt

So Jurassic World Rebirth. I like it, but it is essentially the first three movies all rolled into one. I think it's a better movie than Dominion, but both Fallen Kingdom and Dominion are far more interesting. #JurassicWorldRebirth

There's still stuff I could tweak, but I decided to call it done here. I tried to color grade it to match the feel of the original film. #VFX #Blender3D #JurassicWorld

My mixed feelings about this current era and concerns about where they might take the story next are reigniting a desire I've had for a long time to try and make my own animated Doctor Who episode. #DoctorWho

I needed to do something fun that was just for me, so I've been trying to do an effects shot using practice footage from ActionVFX. It's still a work in progress (especially the roto,) so let me know if there's anything you think I can do to improve it. #VFX #dinosaur #animation #JurassicWorld

So Twitter's algorithm just decided to switch from normally only showing me stuff about Doctor Who and Godzilla to instead just be filled with the most vile racist stuff imaginable. Can we shove Elon Musk down a garbage disposal yet?

I was thinking about how I would adapt #Halo if Microsoft ever decides to give it another go. I would go for a 2d anime show on Netflix. I know a lot of fans would want Blur cutscene visuals, but I imagine that would be way too expensive.

I know I’m still doing catchup with orders, but a car I can potentially get has come available. We have really needed one, especially with a few cons coming up so if anyone can send a Ko-fi or get any comms I’d super appreciate it! 💖

So, #Section31... I wish I could have liked it, but I'm afraid I have to agree with all the critics. This is one of the worst things Star Trek has ever put on screen. And not even in a laughable way like Threshold, it's just not worth watching. Spoilers below.

South Africans act so weird when you talk to them about going to other countries. When I mention to people that I'm going on a trip to Japan, they say things like "You better watch out or you'll get robbed!" As if we don't have a crime rate that's like 100x higher.

So BlueSky's algorithm tuning features are as useless as Threads' and Twitter's. It'll show stuff I have no interest in, and have never hit like on. I'll tell it to show less like this, and hide it for me. But then my feed will be filled with more of the same.

I never showed this WIP 3d anime head. It's supposed to be Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor, based partly on artwork by Haffy over on Twitter. I'm not good at likenesses, so it doesn't quite work for me yet. #DoctorWho #animeart #Blender3D #BNPR
