They let out another soft laugh. “If still feel like need to, then Adrien will not stand in way.” They continue to pet and stroke his carapace soothingly, gently nudging him closer. “Adrien will not leave ever.”

100

Adrien angles their carapace slightly, reaching to gently touch Rocky to soothe him. “Is ok, heart song. Is no need to make up lost time, Adrien love you.”

100

They steam up a little. “As.. Rocky.. Adrien was joking when said you could court Adrien again. Rocky already married to Adrien.” They laugh a little at the thought. “Silly, silly, silly. Adrien love Rocky.”

100

Adrien listened to the explanation of the color, though it made no sense. “Adrien will love it.” They hum and feel the material with their claws. They like its softness.

100

“Oh, Can Adrien see?” They chirp happily, giving him the choice to say no. They can be patient and wait.

100

“Did impeccable job as always, heart song.” They wrap their front limbs around him. “What were you working on?” They ask inquisitively.

100

They trill contently and happily join Rocky, sitting next to them. “Den is much cleaner, is nice, nice, nice.” They hum softly.

100

They return home to @rockinthestars.bsky.social Happy to see them just working on some house work. It’s noticeably cleaner too.

100

—about how fragile Grace was… They just never moved past it.. Rocky knew the limits… Adrien didn’t want to test them out of fear.

000

Once the cat was removed they calmed down, they let out a huff softly as they shuddered. It wasn’t a disgusted shudder. It was more just a release of tension. “Thank… is… very small, Adrien does not want to accidentally hurt small feline.” Adrien and Rocky had many talks when they got to Erid—

100

—softly. Clicking at the kitten that decided that Adrien was a new friend to climb. They didn’t dare move now, afraid that they would accidentally hurt the creature. They were small and squishy like Grace.. who they also worried they would hurt because of their size. “Grace… come take…” They—

110

Adrien hummed softly as one approached them curiously, the scooted back slightly. They weren’t as keen on them as Rocky was, but if Grace likes them then it was fine. (It’ll take time, but just like with Grace, Adrien will come around eventually to like them.) “Felis Catus.” They chimed back—

110

—being more chatty than usual. But then again Rocky wasn’t there to fill their silence with chatter. So.. now it was Adrien’s turn.

“It is hard to make him rest, was before Rocky left. But Rocky always listens to Adrien.” They watched their step carefully as to not accidentally step on one of the kittens. “Creatures are new.. Rocky bring them from earth?” They settle their large carapace in the sitting area, they were —

110

“Rocky is allowed to knit. But not allowed in bio dome. Only rule for today.”

000

<—Neither shocked nor surprised.

“Good, I am handling Grace today. He needs to be resting.”

000

You can visit Rocky. But he needs to stay home.

Rocky better be at home on Erid like he promised.

000

Yes, leaky space blob and kittens. They angle themselves to fit through the door. A bit snug, but manageable. “Adrien is fine, come to visit while Rocky takes day off.”

Time to spend time with @spacemuscles.bsky.social instead of Rocky. It’s their turn to spend time with the leaky space blob. They’re just a little excited.

000

Adrien went right back to preening. Filling the silence with soft humming again as they throughly groomed him.

000

—just didn’t know how to process the bond between them. So it just felt awkward when they wanted to join them. (They did. They just didn’t know how) “Adrien will finish preening, then Rocky rest a little.” They rest a claw gently on his carapace. “Then can fix up den.”

100

“Adrien will visit and spend time with Grace.” Tolerated was a blunt way to put it, Adrien was glad that Grace got Rocky home safely at the cost of his own life on earth. Adrien just.. felt awkward.. Rocky loved Grace almost as much as he loved Adrien. They couldn’t blame anyone for that. They —

100

“Adrien will take care of Grace. Do not worry, hearts song.” They trill softly, happy that Rocky was actually going to take a small break. They knew it wasn’t going to be a long break, they had a bad habit of saying they would. But they would be back at it. But even a short break was progress.

100

—want Rocky to turn to dust because Rocky works too hard.” They press their carapace to his.

100

Adrien stops preening a moment to pull Rocky close. “Adrien know how hard you work to make Grace happy, has been non stop for many cycles. But Rocky cannot work forever without taking break, is not healthy, bad, bad, bad.” Their tone was full of worry. “Adrien love, love, love Rocky… does not—

100

“Adrien know it is not on purpose, but Rocky need to take better care of self..” They huff as well. “If Rocky does not take care of self, then Rocky cannot take care of Grace efficiently.” If they had to pull the Grace card they would.

100

He really should do it more often. They work too hard, they can see it. They pick at a small crystal formation growing in their fourth limb. “This had to be uncomfortable, I wish you would take better care of yourself.” Their tone is soft but sad.

100

They’re glad that Rocky is relaxed, it’s so hard to get them to relax nowadays. But it’s nice to see them finally allow them to preen. They hum a soft tune as they manipulate him around as they groom. Carefully tending to joints and rougher spots.
