iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

They return home to @rockinthestars.bsky.social Happy to see them just working on some house work. It’s noticeably cleaner too.

Once the cat was removed they calmed down, they let out a huff softly as they shuddered. It wasn’t a disgusted shudder. It was more just a release of tension. “Thank… is… very small, Adrien does not want to accidentally hurt small feline.” Adrien and Rocky had many talks when they got to Erid—

100

Adrien hummed softly as one approached them curiously, the scooted back slightly. They weren’t as keen on them as Rocky was, but if Grace likes them then it was fine. (It’ll take time, but just like with Grace, Adrien will come around eventually to like them.) “Felis Catus.” They chimed back—

“It is hard to make him rest, was before Rocky left. But Rocky always listens to Adrien.” They watched their step carefully as to not accidentally step on one of the kittens. “Creatures are new.. Rocky bring them from earth?” They settle their large carapace in the sitting area, they were —

110

“Rocky is allowed to knit. But not allowed in bio dome. Only rule for today.”

000

<—Neither shocked nor surprised.

“Good, I am handling Grace today. He needs to be resting.”

000

You can visit Rocky. But he needs to stay home.

Rocky better be at home on Erid like he promised.

000

Yes, leaky space blob and kittens. They angle themselves to fit through the door. A bit snug, but manageable. “Adrien is fine, come to visit while Rocky takes day off.”

Time to spend time with @spacemuscles.bsky.social instead of Rocky. It’s their turn to spend time with the leaky space blob. They’re just a little excited.

000

Adrien makes a series of deep clicking noises to try and see. It didn’t work very well. “Hold one moment, need to get device to hear better.” They stand and lumber off a moment to grab something.

100

“Adrien has never heard of the Kasterberous system, where is it located?” Their scientific hearts were a flutter with excitement.

000

“Oh, I have never heard of that species. Though humans are also still new. So what part of galaxy are you from?” They spoke with more words than Rocky, but then again when you’re stuck with an alien for four years it’s not surprising.

000

“Many more than humans, what species are you, if may ask?” They were trying to be inquisitive, they weren’t trying to sound so intrusive.

000

Adrien pauses to think. “Eridians have five hearts.”

000

“Is not…. Human?” Their tone shifts to a more interested tone.

000

“Rocky has a charming personality.” They hum in agreement.

000

They shuffle slightly. “Rocky is my mate.. yes. Is nice to meet some of Rockies friends..”

000

They instantly stop humming. “Hello..” They don’t mean to sound so cold… they’re just awkward…

000

They trill excitedly. “Cannot wait to see what Rocky does.” Despite the time away from eachother. It’s still the same Rocky.

000

“Adrien would not mind if Rocky do it again. But is not necessary.” They coo lovingly.

000

They purr. “All five? Is big commitment with all five.” They reach over to gently stroke his carapace. “Adrien also love, love, love Rocky with all five hearts.”

“Constantly.” Adrien trills a laugh. “Adrien ever tell Rocky how much Adrien love, love, love their enthusiasm?”

000

Making all the same noises right back.

He’s in a considerably better mood now that Adrien is here.

011

They continue to hum softly, keeping Rocky as close as they could.

Adrien helps him the last few feet into the room, picking him up and nestling them close to their carapace. “Sleep my hearts song, Adrien will be here when you wake.” They start to hum a soft song to Rocky, feeling their carapace cooling.

000

Adrien happily waits for Rocky to return. Setting up the den, they worried greatly for Rocky’s safety.

000

“Good, Adrien watch Rocky sleep.” They hum and settle Rocky down on the ground, tapping the top of his carapace with a claw.

000

Adrien lets out a huff and presses their carapace to Rockies and hums low enough to vibrate. “Adrien love Rocky very much, cares very much. Rocky is hearts song across the universe. Would not like to lose hearts song again.”

“Will continue to treat Rocky like pebble if continue ignoring sleep and eat.” They care too much to actually follow through with their threat. But hopefully it’s just enough of a threat to actually prompt an action.

They make a negative tone. “Rocky. Need to eat or else no more portal for twenty cycles.” Their tone is very firm but nurturing.

000

They carefully pick him up and holds him close, matching his cooing. “Is heart song well today, question? Keeping up with sleep and eating cycles, question?”

000

“Hello heart song~” They coo and rumble back calmly and happily.
