Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 16mHonestly, it's probably intentional. Do it in 2026 so there's time for terrorist attacks against the US before the 2028 elections, bc fear & anger make ppl more conservative, & bc it would give Trump an excuse to declare an emergency to use emergency powers for more fuckery against us. 000
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 31mYes, Trump, but not only Trump. Honestly, I think it's the entire Republican Party. If anyone wants to come out & explicitly disavow this & call for impeachments/expulsions, I'm willing to exclude them, but otherwise, they're all complicit. bsky.app/profile/atru... 000
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 54mSo, are you now advocating for summary execution? Because anything else requires persuading someone outside of the Executive Branch to do something differently, whether that's Congress, the judiciary, or the electorate. 100
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 1hHell, just failing to fire Hegseth is, itself, an impeachable offense, & that's only after overlooking that even just nominating Hegseth should have been impeachable, too. Same logic for Vought, Patel, & RFK Jr. If what they did was impeachable, then Trump should be removed for enabling it all. 000
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 1hI they actually manage to convict any of them, maybe they can parlay that into an impeachment of Trump. If Hegseth can be removed for blowing up boats & schoolgirls, & otherwise generally botching the prosecution of a war, then Trump should be removed for allowing (ordering?) all that, too. 100
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 1hSo, what's your proposed non-summary-execution solution to the "judicial coup" that Biden could have done while he was still in office? 000
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 1hTrump didn't even declare he was running until after the 2022 midterms, & the immunity & ballot ballot access cases weren't decided until 2024, well into the Republican House majority. By that point, the only remaining options were summary execution, or voters rejecting Trump. 100
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 1hWe tried disqualification via impeachment, we also tried it via litigation. Both failed bc of Republicans in the Senate or SCOTUS, respectively. Congress could've declared him an ineligible insurrectionist, but there was a Republican House by the time anyone knew that was necessary. 100
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 1hPresidents can't just prevent ppl from taking office by declaring them ineligible. If such a power existed, Trump would've used that against Biden in 2021. He'd use it in 2029 if he could. Thinking Biden could've just stopped Trump, if only he'd had the will to do so, is just Green-Lanternism. 100
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 1hAnything else relies on persuasion of others. Persuade Congress and/or the judiciary to hold Trump disqualified, or persuade voters not to re-elect Trump (apparently, by persuading a judge to jail him?). Arguably, summary execution requires persuading someone to carry out the execution(s), too. 100
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 1hThe only ways to stop Trump from re-assuming office were to hold him ineligible/disqualified, for him to be dead, or for voters to reject him. That's it. There is no "one weird trick" Biden could've used to stop Trump, short of summary execution, which is why I raised it. 100
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 1hSo, your argument here is, persuade voters to reject Trump by persuading the courts to allow confinement? This is just more calls for persuasion on top of persuasion. I thought you said Biden had the power to stop Trump himself? 100
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 6hAnd are Greeks automatically eligible for US citizenship? Maybe Italians, too? 000
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 6hThe #SistersInLaw podcast recently did a Q&A episode, & one was about why 8A didn't apply to what ICE is doing to immigrants, & the answer was, jurisprudence says it only applies to punishments for convictions. So they can probably use these in arrests, riot control, etc, & 8A isn't implicated. 000

Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 23hThis is why I said summary execution, bc dead men can't be President. Only death could've stopped him. Anything else is just an attempt to persuade the judiciary or the electorate to decide differently than they did. You're like the firebomb a Walmart meme, but w persuasion. 100
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 23hYour "solutions" all boil down attempts at persuasion. Persuade the courts to order confinement, persuade voters not to vote for him by confining him, persuade the courts that the immunity they said exists doesn't exist. The persuasion ultimately ends at the courts or voters, as I already said. 100
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 23h"Biden and the Ds never took J6 seriously" Absurd. They impeached him again. They tried to have a nonpartisan commission investigate, but Republicans blocked it, so they formed a select House committee & held televised hearings. Trump was federally indicted. 100
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 23hAnd what did you want him to do w the immunity decision? Ok, he ignores it, Trump appeals, & we're still in the judicial system. What? He's going to ignore immunity, & the courts will just ignore that he ignored immunity? 100
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 23hBut also, seeking it doesn't guarantee the courts grant it, nor that it's upheld on appeal. If he's ordered released, what then? Biden refuses, then he's blamed for causing a constitutional crisis, jailing his opponent & ignoring court orders? 200
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 23hPre-trial confinement would not have prevented Trump from running, from appearing on the ballot, nor from winning the election. Not that he won, but Eugene Debs ran while incarcerated. 200
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 23h"[if Biden] had always made it clear that Trump was ineligible after J6 and that his administration would never allow an American hating traitor and terrorist to be reempowered." This is a speech. Your big middle ground is giving a speech, declaring he'll use non-existent powers? 100
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 23h"if Biden federally enforced the 14th Sec 3" This is a power that doesn't exist. Just as Trump has no power over federal elections, neither did Biden. States run elections, the Electoral College votes, & Congress certifies the results. There's no role for the President. 200
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 08/10/2026If you want to argue for summary executions, the only guaranteed way to stop anyone, then argue it explicitly. Short of that, it was always going to fall on others: Congress to convict on impeachment (Republicans failed); the judiciary (Republicans failed); or the electorate (Republicans failed). 100
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Disqualification would've prevented them from running out the clock. And impeaching the judges runs into the same problem as impeaching Trump did: <67 Democratic Senators at all times, & a Republican House after the midterms. Same w Congressional expulsions. Elections have consequences. 100

Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Ok, which parts should've been skipped? Gathering evidence? Toll records, devices, videos, testimony, etc? Grand juries? Or what? Yes, Aileen Cannon & SCOTUS delayed things, but they don't answer to Biden/DOJ. Name the unnecessary delays that were within Biden's/DOJ's control to expedite. 020
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 07/10/2026When did this "extended time not investigating at all" supposedly take place? 020
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 07/10/2026I mean, it lies, first, w Senate Republicans, for not convicting Trump in his second impeachment trial; second, w SCOTUS for inventing immunity, denying disqualification, & dragging their feet on other matters; & third, w voters for re-electing him. Cascading failures. Plenty of blame to share. 010
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Sure, but successfully convicting on impeachment, removing (if convicted prior to term end), & disqualifying him from ever holding office again, *is* adequate for keeping him from winning a second time. Then, no immunity, & SCOTUS & Aileen Cannon delays won't spare him from criminal prosecutions. 100
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Republican Senators failed to convict Trump in his second impeachment trial; Republican judges delayed his criminal trials, denied his disqualification, & gave him immunity; & Republican voters re-elected him. Biden not jailing Trump doesn't change any of that. 031
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 07/10/2026I thought that might be the case, but the fact it goes above 150 outcomes at the peak made me doubt myself, so I guess it's just a (partially) reduced fraction, which would be better presented as a percentage. 000
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Democrats 74 out of 100 what? Republicans 26 out of 100 what? Republicans are only defending 22 seats, so those numbers can't be seats. 100
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 07/10/2026The most charitable read I can come up w is that most ppl assume marriages will be permanent, whereas pregnancies are always temporary. It had a certain sense to it, but it's still unhinged, as if pregnancy can't kill, & can't have lifelong implications for those who survive. 010

Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 07/10/2026I don't think the admin staff all need to be fired. Ppl on the left need to get over it. There will never not be law enforcement, so they can either cede the ground to the worst ppl, or better ppl have to be willing to do the jobs themselves. Power abhors a vacuum, so don't leave a vacuum. 020
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 07/10/2026I think the opposite. He knows he's leaving, & he's trying to get the USG on the hook for paying to maintain his property for him. That he can't think far enough ahead to think that a successor President could undo it isn't the same as never planning to leave. 000

Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 06/10/2026If they do this, rather than a sickout, you have to fire, demote, suspend, or otherwise punish them. "They are refusing their publicly-funded jobs, so we're firing them & recruiting replacements for them." You both punish them, & signal to the public that they're lying to ruin their narrative. 170
Adrian @adrianwashere.bsky.social · 06/10/2026I think you have to be v aggressive in that case. The minute they start, you abolish their agency, & then reconstitute it under DOJ, where it belongs, & hire from scratch, let some reapply for their jobs, maybe incentivize lateral moves from other agencies, or temporarily cross-assign agents. 020
