We report cost, accuracy, performance (both user experience and system output), and energy estimates. Accuracy confirms run validity and can reveal the available trade-offs between all these metrics.

The benchmark uses each dataset's natural lengths. That means we have to handle chunked prefill, refusals, and steps that mix prefill with decode. This avoids the distorting effects of fixed-length measurements and allows us to capture real sparse activations and bandwidth utilisation.

Current results cover NVIDIA A100, H100, H200, B200, B300 and DGX Spark, plus AMD MI355X. Tenstorrent Blackhole and Cerebras CS-3 performance results are currently available for single-turn, single-query runs.

TEAS 🍵 identifies workloads with different profiles and bottlenecks (prefill, decode, tool use), as well as user choices (stack, batch regime, budget). It highlights the strengths of each accelerator and software stack in different scenarios rather than providing a one-dimensional ranking.

Developing next-generation accelerators requires benchmarking them on realistic and agentic AI workloads. As part of the ARIA Scaling Compute programme, we are releasing TEAS, serving 5 models (4B to ~1T total) on 9 accelerators for 6 workloads. @epcc.bsky.social teasbench.com
