The chances of anything coming from Leith were a million to one he said... Three offshore wind turbine platforms tower over the docks waiting for onward transportation. #photo #photography #leith #edinburgh #samsung #scotland #renewables #lightroom
Three bright yellow structures tower over buildings and cars around Leith docks (although there are many more out of shot). They are platforms for offshore wind turbines waiting to be transported away on barges. A line of bollards in the foreground are there to prevent cars from crossing into the pedestrian square. I made the rest of the photo mono to make the platforms stand out. They are reminiscent of the tripods in War of the Worlds (to me, at least). The original photo was taken on my phone but the special effects were done in Adobe Lightroom.

I was out for another long walk in the Cairngorm mountains today. Here's the view looking South on our way out. We ascended Derry Cairngorm which is the prominent peak in the distance to the right of shot. It was cold and windy on the tops. #scotland #photo #photography #walking #scenery #landscape
A scene showing lochs, mountains and valleys shot in the highlands of Scotland. The foreground shows tussocks of grass with many granite boulders poking through. The sky is blue but very cloudy. Mountains shown include Derry Cairngorm and Beinn Mheadhoin which has the granite tors on its summit ridge. Taken on 28th September 2026 near Cairngorm mountain.

A very lifelike clay sculpture of the artist's mother's head. The artist in question is Enrique Marin Heguero and his mother was called Maria. It is displayed in a glass case in the Museo de Malaga which also has a great archaeology section, if you're into that sort of thing.

In the Cueva del Tresoro near Rincon de la Victoria, outside Malaga. Nice and quiet at this time of year. Cave art is said to exist here but it's off limits to the general public (boo!). #photography #photo #cuevadeltresoro #cave #highISO #spain #travel #malaga #rincondelavictoria #canon #noflash
A view of the Cueva del Tresoro (Cave of Treasure) near Malaga. The picture shows a walkway traversing the cave crossing some very blue pools of water. The cave walls are quite yellow, in contrast. The name came about because people believed that Muslims may have hidden treasure here years ago when fleeing the Christians after they retook Spain. None was ever found and one person blew himself up while trying to look for it!
