I don’t think I’ve ever seen hazel catkins this early before #WildFlowerHour

I think this is autumn rather than Chiltern gentian (but grateful for a #wildflowerid). It’s lovely either way. On Noar Hill, Hampshire #WildFlowerHour

The Facial Expressions of Tethys by artist Julius von Bismarck. A suspended high-sea buoy that moves in real time. Sensors on a twin buoy out in the Atlantic Ocean send live satellite data to motors inside the museum. This makes the indoor buoy copy the exact, real-time movements of the ocean waves.

The wildflower meadows above Selborne have largely gone to seed, but the skylarks were still quietly chatting to each other and there were surprisingly plentiful finds for #wildflowerhour

Also continuing straight into contention for #5DebutAlbumsFinal

One of the great joys of these polls has been finding new music, so it seems fitting for at least one such discovery to make my #5DebutAlbumsFinal list - this is probably my top contender amongst these - the gradual, subtle shifts and interplays are hypnotic - an album to truly immerse oneself in

My favourite album of all time, never mind favourite debut, and the most revelatory of my formative years - unhinged, brutal, beautiful, seemingly untethered from anything I’d heard before #5DebutAlbumsFinal

It may not be rare or unusual, but this spiny restharrow is such a delicate little beauty, and a #FavouritePlant from my #WildFlowerHour year
