iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

you did play lovely planet the other day, which is platforming!

One day, I'll find something to do with all these VODs. I just hate the idea of using YouTube with all the GenAI shit anymore you seemingly can't opt out of.

I'm moving a bunch of VODs (circa December 2023 and newer) off my computer to storage. It's equal parts fascinating and bittersweet. The evolution of my layout over time. The old 3D model. Who would pop in regularly. Who stopped coming. Even some folks who have disappeared off the Internet entirely.

"But the handicapped need cars!" No, what they need are options in mobility. The tech exists to enable their freedom of independent mobility, but almost always what is lacking is the enabling infrastructure. Bike lanes and quality sidewalks serve everyone.

Also sorry for no schedule this week. OBS exploded some of my stuff and allergies have been acting up! I think it will be a play-it-by-ear week, likely at the usual 3pm or 4pm ET. (Nothing Tuesday or Friday for sure since my fiance is off.)

Developer pranks are so funny to me, it'd be a shame if I didn't get got.

I've worked on revising my "No backseating" rule to "Don't spoil story or developer pranks". Hopefully this clearer boundary will help let people tell me strats when I'm going arcade or hard game mode, but keep the parts I like to be surprised by the most a mystery. We'll see…

I hopped into VR for the first time in a while, and Rez Infinite is still good af to just pick up and play with a decent pair of headphones.

I think ragweed in early fall and frequent rain in late fall is why it could never be my favorite season, sorry to say. Even spring isn't as rough on me.

I tried to go outside because it's nice today. I forgot the ragweed exploded the other day when I was dying from allergies. Back inside for me, I guess…

Also I finally threw together a persistence filter because I got so frustrated with groups trashing a bunch of my scenes while working on them that I needed an outlet. So I guess I'll do a semi-public release of that at some point for anyone interested.

Been redoing my nested scenes for "displays" today during my recovery week. Working to peel back some of the groups, because they are the #1 source of headaches for me working with OBS.

I've have a secondpaw leather jacket for a decade and a half now. I take care of it and it takes care of me during the cold season. I'm going to have the lining repaired eventually because it would be disrespectful to the creature to just toss it aside.

It's October in Aus, meaning it's officially spooky season! Went back to the first artist I got a skeb from. When I browsed their art on Twitter (they were new to skeb) I thought they'd be perfect for a Halloween comm, and tucked that idea away. I was right. skeb.jp/@clock_appet... #ARTazimuth

The poster's model is wearing a grinning hat with its tongue sticking out, and a white sheet. Paint is being tossed around, and various spooky icons like the moon and the classic jagged jack-o-lantern face can be seen.

I'm trying to keep my palette minimal, but toying with variations to some of the base colors. Feeling out what hues they're good at making and what speaks to me.

68K 💜🐾 @68khe.art · 01/10/2026

it's fun to play with textures and then get an idea of how you can use them also I've been enjoying the hues I can make more readily with a Prussian Blue, not that Ultramarine isn't useful

The rain this past weekend and the sudden transition to way colder weather has me feeling out of sorts. So I think I will take the week to work on projects and art. I might stream on the weekend, we'll see.

Y'know, as often as I see projects eventually undermine their credibility by ceding to GenAI, you know which class of projects I use I /haven't/ seen that happen to yet? Lua-focused ones. Probably because it's not a sexy language that's in vogue and good for farming clout from.

Finished up a private desk stream of trying to fix a PSP 3000 not charging via power jack. Bad news is I couldn't fix it today. Good news is it just seems to be shorting at the connector, a simple replacement, and it can still charge via USB or the other PSP. I'll order a batch for future repairs.

A black PlayStation Portable (PSP-3001) with its broken power jack removed, bagged, and tagged.

I'm pretty tired today… While my sleep schedule is /slightly/ better, that on top of the rain is taking too much outta me; can't even play some TGM without losing focus. So I think today is a rest day… No stream today, sorry. At the very least, I'll do a PSP repair from my backlog and watercolors.
