One final (and great) answer from our August poet Will Stanier: Q: Hey Will, have a favorite typo? A: Absolutely. I once got an email addressed as “Dead Will”, instead of Dear Will. I think of that typo weekly. *** Be sure to visit ADozenNothing.com to read new poems by @flatstanley.bsky.social!

Q: Hey Will, do you ever use chance elements when writing? A: I consider the poem itself to be the chance element. So yes, whatever enters into the present frame of the poem-to-be is gainful input. I like to listen to archival poetry readings.

Q: Hey Will, what’s the last non-poetry book you loved? A: “Dr. No” by Percival Everett. I was in this very long queue to read James from my public library. And while I waited I started reading his other novels. Everett is seriously prolific.

Q: Hey Will, do you have a favorite poetry manifesto? A: Anselm Berrigan has a poetry manifesto / poetic statement that just reads, “No more poetics.” From the Volta Book of Poets. That’s my favorite.
