My boss and mentor of 20 years is leaving our company. As a parting gift, I have been “bequeathed” this lovely LEGO X-wing 75218 that he’s had in his office for years.

I'd like imagine there is an abandoned warehouse in South San Francisco, where a faded Galoob box is sitting, containing the few prototypes of these sets that were made before the company was absorbed by Hasbro. www.rebelscale.com/star-wars-to...

Overall, an ok end to an overall underwhelming and mixed SNW S4. The episode had some funny lines and callbacks, but it still didn't quite land for me. On a positive note, it was an alien diverse episode! First ever live action Aurelian, a Caitian, a Gorn, an Andorian, a Tellarite, and much more!

In today's installment of "shit Nick does at work when he should be working", I ponder where this Mon Calamari appeared. I assume an aide to Senator Tills that isn't shown onscreen in ROTS?

omg. Civilization VII released an update today that allows you to not only play on a HUGE map based on the actual Earth (continents, oceans, natural resources, etc), but they went back to an old Civ II feature that places you in the geographic location of your civ. My Rome is in Italy. 🤓

Today is a dark day. I brought over a Home One Micro Machine and she was almost completely stumped. She correctly guessed "Rebel" and that it was from ROTJ. I gave her a hint, saying "this is the ship where the line 'It's a trap!' occurs". She said, and I quote "The weird general's ship?" Me:

I will forever be obsessed with X-wings being properly marked from 1-12 for a squadron. I don’t know if Red 12 is ever properly shown on screen in ANH, but I love it all the same ❤️

I really, really enjoyed today’s episode of SNW. They never left the ship, but it was filled with good character development, a compelling story, and was an all-around great episode of Star Trek. 🖖

Every now and then, I dig around ArtStation or DeviantArt to see what sorts of talented artists are imaging up cool Star Wars designs. Today, I found a pair by an artist named Peter Francis Howell, who has an almost Doug Chiang quality to his designs! L: Mon Cal battlecruiser R: Mon Cal carrier

TIL about the Radio Free Bolinas sticker on Gray Leader's helmet. Apparently this is a sticker from a radio station in the late 1970/s based in Bolinas, CA. Which is in Marin County, the same county that is home to Skywalker Ranch!

I just don’t get what SNW is doing this season. I’m all for stand alone episodes (actually, I tend to prefer them), but today’s in particular seems like a creative but wasteful use of the limited episodes they get each season.

Hey LEGO friends. This is from a set titled "Rebel A-wing Pilot", but this is the helmet more commonly associated with ROTJ Y-wing pilots. Question- is this the only time this helmet has been used in LEGO Star Wars sets?

I can always count on my buddies over at TF.N in the Fleet Junkie thread for a good laugh. @the2ndquest.bsky.social revived this old chestnut after the Ahsoka trailer. 😂 It is a nod to a recurring forum joke when the Legacy comics were coming out. ❤️

More confirmation that the Defender-class cruisers of the New Republic are heavier armed that we initially thought. In addition to the dorsal six turrets and the large turbolaser on the ventral hull, they have cannons mounted in their central spine! In this shot, the cruiser fires a 2-3 shot salvo

3140

AdmiralNick22 @admiralnick22.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

Based on this shot, it appears that Home One (or another MC80A) took a shot from that superlaser, burning a whole lower section of the ship away! (look at the upper left of the image) I suspect that this weapon is what is one shotting those Defender-class cruisers.

Proper New Republic troopers! I’m guessing army or SpecForces, these look to be tougher than the poor fleet troopers we’ve seen gunned down or chopped by lightsabers

AdmiralNick22 @admiralnick22.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

This scene is one of the rare times we actually see Rebel/New Republic capital ships firing at Imperial ones. This CR90 opens up with all guns, we see Home One also firing from her forward turbolasers as well 🔥

TIL that Ken Ralston disliked the Mon Cal cruiser models when working on ROTJ. Apparently he though they "lacked good angles" to film, so I guess me and this highly respected VFX legend are now in a fight.

My journey down the CR90 rabbit hole goes deeper! I was discussing this w/ a colleague over on TF.N (Grevious_Coward), they noted that not only did the movie not show the combat model in my original post, but that the one used appears to have the guns missing. Photos from an exhibit to prove it 🤯
