I am _BEGGING_ conference organizers to put names on both sides of conference name tags. Every time I look at someone’s conf badge at #atmosphereconf to see if it’s someone I might know, I just see this:

And I added a quick convenience feature requested from a user: long-pressing on links now opens up the share sheet.

ADHD Jesse @adhdjesse.com · 20/03/2026

I've also added more control over your feeds, so you can hide them without removing them, and there's no longer a restriction for the Following feed. If you don't want it, hide it or remove it.

Very mysterious of them to end with a hanging comma,

Wow, thanks for keeping this email "extremely short"! How considerate. 🙃

Just a few of the features coming soon to @fluxapp.blue - the calm, beautiful Bluesky client app for iOS. • Custom thumbnail sizes • Trending topics • Manual light/dark theme

Text size settings coming soon to @fluxapp.blue Inherit the accessibility “larger text” system settings, or set custom just for Flux.

Quick Easter egg for @fluxapp.blue If you have the navigation bar in Left, Center, or Right position, you can long-press to reposition it. Same with the Compose button (which also smartly avoids the navbar depending on the combination).

Just added better support for longer threads in @fluxapp.blue so you can easily fetch newer replies inline. Should be available soon.

Guess I’ve got a bit more work to do. 😅

Flux for Bluesky (iOS) - the status of version 1.7.0 has changed to Rejected. Version 1.7.0 has unresolved issues.

I actually like the liquid glass look in ios, but I hate Apple’s default treatment of the navbar. It’s ugly and gimmicky. Most apps that implement it look worse than they did before (probably why many simply haven’t updated). In @fluxapp.blue I use liquid glass, but try to keep it clean and sleek.

How many times am I going to see posts from @financialtimes.com and briefly think I’ve got a spacing issue in my app? Nope, no spacing issue in my app. For some reason, they start every single post with a space. 🤷‍♂️

I do the same thing in @fluxapp.blue but with liquid glass. (it’s not the same size but I did intentionally line it up so avatars would be centered in the liquid glass button)

Making more progress on Flux (the Bluesky iOS app I’m building). Pushed out a TestFlight update earlier today with activity and profiles. Currently working on search. 💪

Experimenting with some minimal navigation for Flux.

Hey, I made a Bluesky reader app for iOS I'm calling Flux. It's primarily focused on a clean design that focuses more on reading and less on watching videos/etc. All media (images/video) are presented as thumbnails rather than full-screen distractions. Join the TestFlight here: tally.so/r/b5qXZL

Hey, I made an app to help you remember to stay in touch with your friends (cuz I'm really bad at remembering to stay in touch with my friends) It's on sale right now, and you can skip the waitlist and get access today for half price! Go to wavepal.app/friends to get it.

I miss when my social media didn’t look like TikTok, I like when I can see more than one post on the screen at the same time. So I built a little bluesky app that’s words only. Ironically, here’s an image showing my app that doesn’t use images:

Got this lovely notification today, reminding me to reach out to a friend! Hoping to get this early version of the iOS app out to our beta users soon. Want an invite? Reply with your favorite way to catch up with friends (apps, activities, etc).

Made this little animation to show how to use tags in the Wavepal onboarding. Pretty happy with how it turned out! First time working with Lottie via Figma, and it was a LEARNING PROCESS, but happy with the final result.

Pet peeve: pricing pages that don't actually tell you the pricing.

Screenshot of 3 pricing plans, but all of them just say "Start 7-day free trial" and don't tell you the price of each plan.

More recent Wavepal updates. History panel to show previous interactions (what we're calling "waves") including notes.

Quick sneak peak of some work we’ve done in wavepal.app — an app we’re building to help you be the kind of friend you want to be.

I've been thinking my iPad wasn't quite bright enough for months, always confused when I go to increase the brightness and find it already set to 100%. Imagine my surprise when I just discovered this… innocently hiding under Accessibility > Display & Text Size settings.

I can hardly believe it... Extra Focus has hit 20,000 copies sold! 🎉 As a first-time, self-published author, I never imagined this would happen. But more incredible than the number? The stories of how this book is changing lives. To celebrate, I'm doing something special...
