The color of this Côtes de Beaune...

I don't think this has ever happened to me before. I'm sure I've gotten at least four yellows, but I don't think I've gotten five. Wordle 1,783 4/6 ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ ⬛⬛🟨⬛🟨 🟨🟨🟨🟨🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

I just finished #thedevilinsilver by @victorlavalle.bsky.social today. I cannot be more excited about watching the show. I hope they don't get too "creative" with it because the source material is... Just... 🤌

A couple of sunrise photos from this week.

Sun rising over a field bordered by trees on both sides

A lake with the sun rising in the distance. Wintry bare trees are in the foreground along the lake edge.

NGL. I judge Chalamet for dating a Kardashian. He's lost esteem. And I realized, as much as I liked it, both actors in Call Me by Your Name are asshats. #Oscars #academyawards

Sinners was simply the superior film nominated in every category. They got recognition, I'm trying to be ok with it. #oscars #academyawards

I know the Academy Awards are useless, so I'm keeping expectations low. But if Ryan Coogler doesn't win best director, it will be a damn crime.

More snow photos. It's still snowing, but it won't hang around long after it stops, too warm. #snow #nature #photography #pnw

A stream lined by snow-covered trees, snow flakes in the air.

The only thing I want to know about the #goldenglobes: is Indy the dog there?!

Been trying to heal an aching foot, so haven't been out on the trails lately. But I went this morning and it is a beautiful PNW winter.

Brown winter reeds backed by brown winter trees by the side of a dark lake.

Bare winter poplars backed by blue sky and white clouds.

Clouds reflected in water with reeds visible in the up left corner.

Watching the latest season of Emily in Paris. Why do most of the women look like they have eating disorders? 🙄

Heather P McCall @additionalpickles.bsky.social · 16/12/2025

It's dark when I get up during these short days. I'm making my tea today, and I see the bird feeders swaying wildly. Thinking it's windy, I look around at the tree tops to see stillness. So I turn on the porch light, to find THIS GUY. He's so cute. #raccoon #wildlife #naturephotography #photography

An adorable raccoon on his hindlegs emptying my bird feeder. He's on a bush branch, surrounded by leaves that are still green.

This right here. She mad 'cause she can't grift. Not saying anything about whether or not I think Newsom would be a good president or whether I'd vote for him in a primary. But women deserve actual healthcare, not Halle Berry's menopausal goop.

I've had occasion to get some shots of the Seattle Space Needle recently. #photography #Seattle

I'm bored and anxious and can't find anything I get like watching. So I'm rewatching The Hookup Plan on Netflix. Great French show that is a million times better than Emily in Paris. I recommend if that's the kind of thing you're looking for. #frenchshow #netflix #tv #streaming

It's no longer daylight at 5:00 or even 6:00 a.m. anymore. From my run this morning, the moon and Jupiter just before dawn. Then, later, a chilly October morn.

Black sky with a half-ish moon and a bright object to the lower left which is, according to the interwebs, Jupiter.

A gravel path in the early gray dawn, with mist and trees in the background.

I really don't understand how Sotomayer, Jackson, and Kagan are still sane. I would be ranting and raving and losing my damn mind every day at work. 🙄

Butterfly in my yard. I have no idea what species. Swallowtail of some kind? #butterfly #gardenbugs #insects

Another shot of the butterfly. Its wings are up and it is partially hidden behind a leaf.

Ok, so #YOU... I enjoyed the first two seasons, three didn't hit right for me at all, four was better... But five? They stuck the landing in my opinion.
