Drop D allows me to move up to standard or drop E and down to drop C if I need (Easiest to pitch shift. It tends to stay consistent.) The drop C variant then allows me to cover anything from drop C to drop D. I tend to pitch shift drop C to B/A#, but it's not really necessary if I change fingering.

Though I have tons of guitars, I only have 2 basses (I'd like to have one more, MAYBE 2). One is an Epiphone EB-0 short-scale and I tend to keep it in drop D. The other is a Sterling Stingray Ray35 that I have in a drop C variation (GCGCF). Between the two, I can get almost any tuning I need. 1/2

It’s good to finally be mixing and working on music again after multiple months. Really hope that I can do this for work for a long while, I get so much fulfillment out of it.
