Beijing recently launched a May–December special campaign against market-fragmentation barriers on May 13, and the next day the State Council released its annual legislative plan which includes formulating regulations (条例) on the construction of a unified national market.

Berlin’s move to issue deportation orders against Palestine solidarity supporters, three EU citizens and one US citizen, likely violates EU law. Its unconditional support for the Israeli government and oppression of freedom of speech is an illiberal turn we must stand against.
